camshaft assembly parts

i have all the oem assembly parts for cams... the peices that hold them in place, the bolts, the oil squirters etc. exhuast cam comes with this.

What is not included: timing chain, intake cam, valves, valve springs.

shipping might be a little difficult to calculate. if you want the exhuast cam, then im gonna have to get a longer sized box, around 18" or how ever long the cam is. if you just want the bolts and the peiecs that hold the cam in place then i can use a small box. let me know. if no one wants these they're goin in the trash. i have no need for them.

Do you have the HVLAs (lifters) and the rocker arms? I'm buying a mostly-bare head with just springs valves, and retainers, so this may work out perfectly. How many miles are on them?

Hahahahaaaa. Excellent response. That picture does show the lifters and rocker arms (if that's a picture of your head). The rocker arms are right under the cam lobes. They have the 2 fingers that depress the valves when the cam rotates. The lifters sit under the other end of the rocker arms. They protrude out from the holes in the cylinder head. There should be 8 of each.

If you have those guys and they don't have too many miles on them, I'll pay shipping and give you $30 bucks on top for some fine malt liquor.

lol dan. no i havent taken those apart yet. i couldnt figure out how, looked a little complicated to me. but i'll look over it again today. you just want the lifters and rocker arms? the motor had 112k before its demise.

this is off a 92 highport. the 98's were lowports wes. i dont know if they're compatiable...

lowports actually had better camshaft oiling tubes. The holes are larger. I think theyre like $30 if you order them thru the dealership(GregV or Courtesy) I put the lowport ones on my highport after i had it built up.. every little bit of oil helps!!!

The rocker arms will pop right off after you remove the camshafts, just wiggle and pull, once you pull those off, there will be little pucks on top of the valve spring retainers the left side will have a slot- the right side will be perfectly flat, be sure you take those off too (a magnet makes quick work of those). The HVLAs are the little nipple looking things the rear of the rocker arm pivot on...these may be a little tougher to remove. If they dont come out by hand.. which they might not, put a rag around them and use some pliers to pull them out. dont wear nice clothes while you do this as they tend to skeet oil all over the place if theyre still full. I ruined a good t-shirt doing this

skeet skeet skeet. sorry, i had to. actually this motor is going to the dump on monday. i dont have the time to take anything else off. im in the middle of packing so i can move next weekend, final exams, and finishing an engine swap - all this week. sorry. only thing i got is the exhuast cam, and those brackets that hold (both intake and exhuast) cams in place, and the oil squirters.

OKay...what exactly are you giving away all togther?

I might need some of these parts and im know that other guys will need some of the other parts from the motor. Sooo...i propose this. I roll down there and get the stuff and then instead of it going in the trash I can sell what I dont need for shipping cost to the peeps who need it.
