Your bottom ten tools (least used tools)

Post the tools you bought but don't use or need due the fact it's useless, or there is a better subtitute at hand (ie wrench for a hammer).

I am thinking about all those cool lookin bits that came with my Dremel kit. The only one I use is is the stone grinder to make new ground points, so all the other ones

hmmmm

a/c orfice puller, you can use drywall screws for that
sawzall, ocy acet torches are way better. and 4inch angle grinder kicks ass
drywall hammer/rubber mallets, why use soft or lite stuff when you got a fisher price baby sledge(called fisher price cause its LIME GREEN)
inline sander, orbital works much better
any and all hand ratchets, 2 words air tools.

1. Tie rod end seperator, three words BIG FUKIN HAMMER
2. Chisle set, more likely used=bolt splitter
3. Dead-blow hammer=crap, 2x4 and a BFH
4. Gasket scraper, razor blades work oh-so-much better
5. 1/4" ratchet and sockets....worthless.
6. 4 diffrent 3/8" ratchets, one would sufice.
7. 37 diffrent screw-drivers, one snap-on ratcheting screw-driver works great...except for the prying jobs where the BIG FLAT-BLADE SCREWDRIVER comes in handy.
8. Cant think of anything elce at this hour.

Dude are you serious. 1/4 rachet will get in several areas that a 3/8 would never fit. Matter of fact thats all I use at work.

Thats what gear-wrenches are for, 1/4 ratchet simply isnt strong enough, nor is it long enough to get leverage on it. It may work good for some applications, but in my expierence it isnt worth it. Although I seemed to have lost all of my 1/4 ratchets, except my palm ratchet.

When my dad died, I inherited his tools, many of which I probably won't ever use, so off the top of my head in no particular order:
1. Impact driver (not the air or electric driven ones, the one you hit with a hammer)
2. 12 pt. sockets
3. 1" breaker bar (have like 2 sockets that fit it)
4. Micrometer (haven't found any time where I need it)
5. other ones........

Probably my bench grinder. I've rarely needed it. Most specialty tools or tools that you only use once in a great while like pulley pullers. I have two sets of 4, one that's three jaw and one that's two jaw. I Maybe have $20-$30 invested in those and have only used them once but they're worth having around. I looked at getting a cheap ball joint press but my god, the thing was a monster. A 2"x4" on end under the LCA and a hand maul will hopefully work when the time comes. I just bought a $5 steering wheel puller set that I'll probably never need again, but for $5 it's worth having around in case I do.

A harmonic balancer puller is the same thing as a steering wheel puller, just bigger and more useful in taking off other pullys and transmission cases, ect. I'm looking into getting a bench grinder sometime, I've always wanted one.

I'd say either my chisel or probably the 140 dollar snapon wire stripper. Oh, almost any standard sockets or wrenches. I'm all about the metric!

Telescoping mirrors are wonderful chasing coolant leaks and oil leaks in places you can't see.

Nut drivers

I'd say that nut drivers are my single most unused (useless) tool.

Invariably, I end up using a socket on a 1/4" screwdriver handle
all the time. Standard sockets are often great replacements for
broken, misplaced, or elsewhere used metric sockets. Also, there
are a few SAE bolts on my car (sacrelidge, I know) but the metric
stuff costs twice as much, and isn't always necessary.

Can't recall the last time I used a valve spring compressor. Proabably sometime in the '70s.
