Parking guides for the Garage.

We recently bought a 2002 Maxima and it is a real tight fit in our gargage. Every time you park it you are either waiting to hit the front of the car to the wall or you left the car too far out and the ass end is going to get hit by the garage wall. Any ideas to help my wifey park this thing?? I saw this:

I guess I can just use the old tennis ball trick but was trying to get other options and opinions. TIA

If youre really cheap, you could use a 25 cent gumball machine ball. I did, but now our garage is full of crap and no car can go in there haha.

I just lay a 2x4 across the floor; when the front wheel(s) bump it I'm good to go.

What's the tennis ball trick?

Hang it from the roof and it hits the windshield when you're there... We just got orange cones from somewhere and put a broom stick in it so when you pull up you nudge the cone and then the broomstick hits the wall when you're there.

I would be too tempted to launch right through the back wall.

Some string hanging from the ceiling with just about anything to weight it a bit (aerosol can lid, washer, bolt, tennis ball, doll head, old distributor cap, etc) tied onto the end will work fine. Just pull the car into the desired position and then cut and tie the string so the object touches hits the windshield.

if ur lazy, even more cheap, and got enough depth perception, u can put tape (masking/electrical/duct) on the wall to ur left/right to mark where ur sidemirrors should be. if u have the middle space of a 3 car garage or ur walls are too far away for ur judgement, then u better go with the tennis ball or the 2x4 method.

They sell rubber parking curbs for like $9 at Menards. Pull car in to desired position, place parking curb against front wheel. I used marker to trace around the curb so I can replace it exactly where I need it in case I have to move it...

my grandmother has a maxima in the garage, its so small that if i need to work on my sentra i need to pull it in according to whichi side i need to get to. we has a 4x4 pole pole on bolted to the floor. with the tennis ball yes it will hit but you can still move forward alittle. the pole wont let the car move (ts 4 inches high.....like a curb) so she just inches her self in and when she hits the pole backs up about an inch and thats it.
