my craftsmen gloves say machine wash cold, but i never did. I just put in a bucket with some dish soap and that took all the heavy sh*t off. rinsed em out and put em back on.

I love my cars, but I'll let you guys keep spending all your money on them. I'm getting a house
If anything I am going to take both pairs I have down to the laundry mat and use their washer to do it lol. Don't want the oil and crap all over in my moms washer.
I just throw mine in the washing machine with my work clothes. When they're done I set them out to air-dry. Works fine, doesn't seem to make them wear out any faster.

I have those Gojo Hi-Tactile gloves and theyre like stiff as a board from all the oil and grease. I was worried about washing them in a conventional washer/dryer because of all the flamible fluids + chemicals from washing machine and the heat from the dryer. I just planned on cleaning them with soap and water in a bucket.
These are the shiznit...completely water proof, so you can wash all that nasty greasyness off when your done with some hand cleaner. The down sides, fuel makes them slippery, and your hands can get really hot. Its one of the best x-mas presents I got!
I try to wear nitril gloves if I'm doing something really greasy or oily, and mechanics gloves for anything else. It keeps the mechanics gloves fairly clean.

That is exactly what I do to. The mechanics gloves stay alot cleaner.
I wash mine by soaking them in Simple Green and rinsinging them, then air dry.
I always found the mechanics gloves are hard to work with. I use latex all day at work. I was never a firm believer until I started wearing them. No more imbedded dirt.

Mine are nasty they need tossed but I have to get a new pair first, you can't really use them on small nuts or bolts though as they are to thick.
I use latex a lot of the time since they are cheaper.

My wife would have my ass if I threw my Exxon Valdez soaked gloves in the washer. I remember once back when I wasn't so smart, washing some car rags in our washer. I thought her head was going to start spinning while vomiting pea soup when she saw the black ring around the top of the drum. Soaking in a bucket w/ a solution of simple green is probably a better way to keep the domestic abuse division of the NJ state patrol away from my house
Personally, i don't wear gloves. It's so infrequent anymore that I get to work on a car, I need the ground in grease to remind me of my manlihood.
