Prep is very important. My house was built in '61 so it had it's share of oil stains in the garage. I started out with TSP and scrubbed it really well. I let it dry for a day and then did muriatic acid. I let it dry again for a couple days and then did the epoxy. That was when we first moved in August '04 and it's still in great shape with no lift up.

I havn't had any trouble with scratching. Mine is grey in color. I used 2 kits from lowes and did 2 coats on my 10x20 oversized single car garage. I can't remember the brand name but it was about $20 cheaper then the rustoleum stuff.

now what would you guys do if you had linoleum tile covering a huge 2 car garage? It is comming up from oil and brake parts cleaner spilling all over it. Some moron decided that brown plastic tile would be best for the garage.

How do I remove it and the glue that is on the floor?

Krud Kutter and a floor scraper works wonders on a floor to remove the glue. I just did about 100 sq feet removing it.

yeah... looks nice...

I got mine from Sherwin Williams.

and it's 2 part epoxy. I did 2 coats, and it's like as it is epoxy shell.

Here is what it looks like...

Before the wall gets Painted:

After My wife Painted the Wall

You basically have to clean the floor with a degreaser, acid etch the floor(kinda makes the floor like sandpaper) Then mix 1part epoxy and one part hardner. Let dry approximately 2-24hours then repeat last step and add silica sand to give it that non slip texture so when the floor gets wet you won't bust your a**.

When it is dry it becomes like picture #2. It doesn't look as pretty, but it works very, very well. This stuff is like commercial grade...

Oh yeah I forgot to say that I added one cup of standard "play sand" to each batch of epoxy so it wasn't slippery when wet.

One thing you will notice when you paint the walls any color other than white or something very light is not as much light is reflected in the garage. When our walls were bare, the lights were very bright. then we added posters and banners and the garage got significantly dimmer.

Its one of those things to think about... form over function or function over form.
