Just paint around the heater pretty much. And yea, when u pull up the carpet you will have to sand it all down to get the Epoxy to stick.

I t was right under $100.. But you still have to buy a Scrubbing broom type brush to prep the floor...

Look to at least $130 for everything.. it's a good thing to get a squeegie too.. a big one on the broom stick of course.

Its holding up very well. Nothing peeled up on me. But you have to get the oil up soon as you can or it stains the floor.. Its only expected if u leave oil on the floor for 2 weeks. But i have a clear coat i'm about to put on.
So that should look even better.
Non-the-less, it's still best to do this to your garage floor.

Fill it with concrete floor filler. Lowes or Home Depot should have it.

Clean up man.. you spill oil on your Epoxy floor u can just clean it up.
If it was a concrete floor run and get some Acid and purple power. and that still won't help the stain it's going to leave.

I am going to have to pull mine up and do it over again. I guess the previous owner of the house decided it was a good idea to do, but the floor is still smooth, so it looks like they did not use the etcher. I guess maybe brake cleaner and let it sit or maybe even some aircraft stripper..... at a loss

It's been a year and 3mths since I put the Epoxy down. It's held up GREAT. Not once i've gotten any kidn've peel.

I"m in the process right now putting another coating down..
Reason being is, True as it is, you can spill oil clean it up and it looks brand new..
But if you let the oil sit to long (a week or so) it will make a ugly yellow stain.

This time around i'm using a clear coat as well.
I've also Painted my walls Yellow so I won't loose any lighting properties.

Another Lighting upgrade is also comming.

^^^ Thanks for bringing this one back from the dead. My floor right now is concrete and I made a mess when I was swapping my motor. PM me so we can talk.

Scrildo- Stay Tuned. I'm redoing my Floor today and I will have pictures up the ying yang starting with this stuff.

Another before picture. I had a project on my hands. Spun bearing which lead to engine rebuild and install, replace door and fender amoung other things.

I had Motor oil spill in my back room. Was sitting for a while and made a stain.
They are more stains around the garage when my motor was leaking oil.

What you see here from Left to Right is the Clear coat which I got from Sherwin Williams on a Deal from a friend.
There is the Epoxy Paint, the The part "A" and the part "B"
The Flakes for the floor.. And in the clear bag is Concrete Etcher which I won't need.

As you will notice I painted the Garage walls.. I have some touch up spots but it's pretty much done.
I used a Latex paint to make it easy to clean up when my dirty hands get on them.
Repainted the Moldings with a White gloss.

Do you plan on sanding it down to the bare floor or just scuffing it up?

For future reference, I would stay away from the chips as they make finding small fasteners a lot harder.
