Pumping up tires...

What do you guys use? Right now I'm doing a fair amount of work on the S13 which involves it sitting on stock wheels/tires. The tires lose air and it's just not worth it to me to replace them, or have whatever's wrong fixed. I'm getting tired of running to the gas station once a week to pump up the tires; as soon as the work is done, the good wheels and tires, which don't leak, will go back on the car.

I know most of you will say you use your air compressor setup, but that's not an option for me either from an expense standpoint or a storage standpoint - as desperately as I'd like to have an air compressor and tools, there's nowhere to stick it in my garage.

Ideas welcome!

tight wad...Just kidding. Go to sears, buy a $20 air tank, which can perform double duty at the track, and go tothe station and fill it up as needed....Thats all I can think of.

I 2nd the air tank. I've used one for years now. I bought one of those $18 compressors that Chris Storer linked on New Years. The 12v compressors work ok, but an air tank and a trip to the gas station works. Try to find a gas station with a car wash. Thoses usually have a better compressor, that will let you get more air in the tank.

And I can do that in my garage exactly how?

You guys do know that AIR, the stuff you breathe, is about 80% nitrogen, right?

I'll go for a 12V compressor, that's what I use to keep my tires up.

Air compressor. Added benefit is you can also use it for air tools. Make room for it, baws.

but with 100% nitrogen it wont seep through the rubber like "the air we breath", and it wont change psi due to temp. change.

dad always used a foot pump. he bought one for the lawn mower, that he used on many cars around the house, a nice foot pump isnt too bad, and 30psi pumps up rather quickly
