After pulling two engines in a one car garage and dealing with the cleanup, I decided that it was time to start over and make it look like a nice place to work.

I don't know if you checked out my post about Expoying the floor. But i do suggest that you use a Acid os some kind..
Being that your garage floor looks a bit older I also suggest a garage floor primer.

Thank you for the suggestions. I took a look at your garage pics and you did a great job with the Home Depot kit. Did you go with the Behr brand?
I decided to go with the Epoxy-Coat Kit since I found a lot of positive reviews.
Muratic Acid in a 1 to 4 solution couldn't cut through the contaminants, so I tried 1 to 1 and then went to a diamond cut grinder.
It looks a lot better and appears to be etched enough to hold the epoxy.
Take a look at the newest pics in the thread and let me know what you think.

sh*t dude u'r not playing.. Looking good.. Get it nice so u can put the epoxy down.. remember to wait at least 24hrs after wetting the floor from cleaning up the dust before u lay down the paint.
...nice job man........as for the flakes : for like $5 you can get a grass seed broadcaster, it looks like a funnel on top of a fishing reel.......and after that , you can do drive-by seedings...

The only thing i Regreat is not clear coating it.
AS it is true that you can wipe the oil right off the floor don't leave it sitting there or will turn the Epoxy Yellow/

I've had a few questions about this and SE R Madness is correct, if you leave the fluids there for an extended period of time the epoxy will turn yellow.
