Inspection tomorrow for the rough drywall, and then seams and holes are taped and mudded. Lots of compound ready to go.
You can make out the outlets for the speakers in the top left hand corner of the picture and plenty of two gang outlet boxes at 48" on all of the walls.
Skylight all boxed in and corner metal on.
Hookups for TV on the left (coax, 120V, HDMI) and the stub for the minisplit A/C system on the right.
Outside hookup for the minisplit that will go in behind the garage.
Toolbox nook and hookups for DirecTV DVR and stereo. You can see the left channel speaker outlet box in the UL corner.
Now we start shifting gears and we start picking up detail items like lighting fixtures, door styles, paint, etc.

My favorite roofing dudes came by today to put in the skylights. They made short work out of it and even brought me a little picture album that shows all of the repairs and steps they did to the roof. They'er pretty damn proud of their work...wish everyone was that way.
Here are the skylights sitting on the garage floor...
Ahhhh.....blue sky. They're insulated, tinted, and they open.
You can see that the drywall amigos are about halfway through the process. They need to put a skim coat of plaster on the house addition and finish up with some sanding in the garage.
Now I gotta start pricing out some flourescent light fixtures. I'm probably gonna go with 4', 4 tube T5 fixtures with low-temp ballasts. The ballasts, from what I've been told, are key in making sure that the lights won't flicker and start up without any noticable hum.
We have stucco!!! Scratch coat went on this wek and they sandblasted the rest of the house. Painters are coming in tomorrow to prime the inside of the garage and get it ready for semi-gloss.
Very nice. Im stuck with a carport. My dad has a nice 46x60.

And, I don't mind at all being looked down upon by purists. Indeed I don't mind at all being looked down upon by those whom I do not look up to at all. -
Update! Everything has been primed for about a week. Work is going slow on the garage since everything else is happening in the addition...tiling bathroom, trim, etc....
So here's the inside of the garage all primed and ready for a coat of semi-gloss white:
Outside trim primed:
And a peek inside the addistion...hardwood floors take some time to put in. And that's what's been taking so long!!!
The entry door finally came in as well as the rest of the interior doors for the addition. They should be going in next week! The roll-up garage door guy came in today to take measurements. I can finally start thinking about moving stuff in!
Doors finally arrived and went in today. They still have to finish jambs, locksets, and trim, but they were hung!
Here's a pic of my burly steel entry door.
A shot from the outside. The stucco guys now can finish off the scratch coat to the metal jambs and start the first surface coat.
When the "big one" hits California, I will hide under this door frame.
And I know some of you wanted to see some pics of the addition, so here's the shower tile going in. The tile guy is a perfectionist and has gotten all of the grout lines to match up so that we don't have a little sliver of tile abutting a wall. His work is excellent, IMO and I don't mind him taking 3 hours to lay 10 square feet of subway tile!
Here's a shot of the new home office/bedroom doors hung today. The frosted glass laminate door adds some light in an otherwise dark hallway.
Next up, roll up garage door and lots of trim, paint, countertops, details, etc.
1) Final stucco coat went on and ready forpaint after it dries.
2) Exisitng faultline driveway finally torn up and grading for new driveway started.
3) Still waiting on the roll-up door...
