Someone mentioned before that the loose spring can move around. It probably moved into a spot that allowed you to get the car into gear.

that is a clutch problem, you have to AT LEAST replace the disc.

Besides a loose spring, I have had some of the rivets from the pressure plate come off and do the same thing. You should replace the disk, and maybe the pressure plate.

Same thing happened to me, it was bad and then it was good, and then the spring wedged under the pp fingers and that was it.

You may find that you have a spring that broke out of your clutch disk and it is getting stuck in the pressure plate fingers.

Same thing happened to me and it was the differential. A lot of money to get fixed. But it could be something else for you.

Bump from the dead. Sounds like we have a new victim. I'll be dropping the trans, but I guess I'll go ahead and order a B15 disc while I'm at it.
