and some of the cheap ones may not (as far as i know only the h1945 as saaby found out, the rz1710 does/should however).
Actually all of the ppc's in the HP h1900 series do not have a serial port...that includes h1910, h1915, h1920, h1930, h1937, h1940, and h1945.

ive released an update to the pocket pc edition which fixes the logging frequency (now its as often as pda can handle, ie as many log packets as sensor updates on screen, depends on speed of ur pda), and also creates seperate file each time for logging)
I forgot to mention a very important fact....I edited my original post to state this...I am using a 97 200SX SE-R ECU. AND...I have used the MDM-100 which connects to the consult port to monitor my sensor information just fine. The MDM-100 was my friends which he used to connect to his S13 with a consult I port....so I guess that proves that the pin outs of the consult I and consult II are the same...and since I have a 97 ECU...should I not be able to use a consult box to connect to my consult plug and a serial active sync device for my PDA and be set? In theory it seems like it should work...any one think why it wouldn't?

I have a '99 G20 with a 95-97 JWT ECU, and my consult port works fine with the BlaZt cable and NissanDataScan software. It also works with CalumSult. The '99 cars are consult II, but the ECUs are Consult I. The port is backwards compatible, so Consult I software should work fine given that you are using a '97 ECU.

Thanks for the software update Peter. I haven't had a chance to play with it much since its labor day weekend and I have had a lot going on...but I think I noticed that I have to select the COM port every time the software starts as opposed to before where it would automatically select and connect. Do you think its possible to have it remember the com port (ini file) so I don't have to select it every time? Thanks again, I find this software SO useful. I plan on donating again btw.
yep, i plan on adding that option the next time i have a chance to update it (aside from a small fix for euro users who by default have commas for decimal places, this stuffs up the logging for csv files). i left it out of this one as i assume u need to start the application manually anyway, so selecting the port shouldnt be too much more of a hassle.
pda's only get on the compatibility list when people can be assed enough to actually try it on their pda and let me know if it works/doesnt. presumably it will if you have a way to hook up a serial consult interface to your axim. (serial sync + null modem adaptor normally does the trick, as is stated on the site)
it should work on any Pocket PC (2000+, ie 2002, 2002, WM 2003, WM 2003 SE, WM5...) that has a serial port.
is there a cheaper interface cable than 80 bux please let me know! -- or does anyone have one for cheap?
i found a site that has the nissan diagnostic port to open end for like 20 bux - -- but i dont know what to do with the open end if i do buy it!! help?
lol i wish i knew how to do that, but unfortunately i dont - so i posted in the wanted section for a used one hopefully someone will part with one for less than 100
you should make a How To - on making it - that would be awsome - the cord itself costs just as much as other programs all together lol - i would really appreciate it - like where to get the things u need ect . it would make your programs more usefull also wacha think?
the problem is, any howto is specific to the the circuit or board you're using. if you dont know how to interpret a circuit schematic and lay it out onto some kind of prototyping board to make your circuit, then you need to buy a board from someone who's already done that
its not cost effective to get a single pcb produced if someone gave u the design for it (eg if u were able to use the design i made there) as it would cost more than buying a premade one would.
calum has a construction guide for his consult interface also (bit more bulkier than my one was, but a slightly better circuit design) - in the forum contributors section. theres a good chance someone may have some empty boards left from a previous pcb production batch run they did
ive changed names of remaining sensors (RH ones and few rare ones like intake air temp) to nissan datascan format in latest version, 1.13 so u can view ur logs in datascan or compatible log viewers

fuel economy (instant/trip), distance, fuel usage are going to be next tasks for this i think. not sure why anyone else hasnt thought to do that? (i didnt even think of it until i did instant fuel economy for the consult lcd display) probably cause most people wont use their laptops permanently in their car (whereas u can with a pocket pc).
