I just found out that the Almera GTi is furnished with the roller rocker a few hours ago. I can't believe this just hit me. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of Almera Drivers here or a lot information on the Almera. I know that I see a lot in the Europe area, and now I am wondering what their engine codes are? Anyone have one want to sign the thread?

New research for me get into!

3) Yes
4) JDM
5) No Stock ECU
6) I did this swap for my Brother after I blowed his engine and He loves it now I myself Could tell a Huge Differance. Performance wise I advanced the timing it also has a Hotshot header , cold air Intake, lightened Flywheel and Stage 2 Clutch also B&M Short Shifter. It was a straight drop in so it has no emissions stuff what so ever. I Have a B13 Shell that I just picked up and I am starting to do my Fourth SR20 swap and I am considering putting a RR in it. Oh yeah Engine came from Soko just Like all the others I have Bought
7) JHILLSC@AOL.COM

Noice... Never knew there were b13's with the swap done... sweet...

for reference:

Quote:
1) Your Engine Number: (number on driver side by transmission)
2) Car Model & Year
3) Was this engine swapped in? (Yes/No)
4) If Yes for 3)... JDM or USDM?
5) If Yes for 3)... Was a change in ECU necessary?
6) Any other infomation you have to offer (for example, your mods, if you swapped; what you swapped over, what you got rid of, where engine came from, what year you think it is, problems, etc...)
7) Fastest way to contact via internet

Example:
1) 866695A
2) 1998 200SX SE-R
3) Yes
4) JDM
5) No (indicating no change for ECU)
6) I swapped over my intake manifold, had problems with swap. I like long walks on the beach, the engine I had was for an automatic, car has 53J on the head, I got it from Soko. I have an all silver VC. I also switched out my distributor. I had tubular exhaust mani and switched it out, this engine is more peppy, etc.)
7) AIM: xxtokesxx
It's kind of like a support group... he he

Peace

I believe all the 2 litre Almeras in the UK made after 1996 were roller rockers. But having a P10 and not an N15/16 I could be wrong about the date they changed over.

Thanks Mike
well the P10/P11 changeover was done in the factory late in 95 and the bulk of the changover took place in 96, but there are a few leftover dealer stock that were registered for the road in 97. But the FAST dates from the VIN will all be a 95 changeover. But it does seem a few hybrids left the factory as some of the UK guys have P11 gearboxes with P10 engines and vice versa.
Those are not at all common though.

99% of Uk N15 Almera GTi`s have the roller rocker engine. 95-00. Very few had a highport ( i assume ) non RR head.

Oooooops Ian,

Sorry, its bad form to get the name wrong, but its unfortunately something I am quite good at. I plead senility.
The P10 changed from highport to spraybar lowport for several years, then it went P11 and RR head at the same time.

1) 3R something... I'l get dressed later
2) UK P10 eGT
3) Was this engine swapped in? Yes
4) UK P11 GT
5) No, still running P10 ECU & Loom.
6) Some mods required to loom and sensors around the intake. Nothing hardcore though, just took an hour or so with the wiring diagrams to figure out. Had to use the injector loom from the P10, and un-bind/re-route some of the wires in the engine bay loom to reach the new locations of the ISCV, etc. Oil pressure sender also changed as plugs were different. Kept the P11 intake, injectors, cam covers etc. Used the P10 distributor with external coil & ignitor. P10 tubular exhaust manifold used. P10 speed sensor, driveshafts used. P10 MAF obviousley. P11 alternator used, only cause it was newer though. Everything else engine & box wise is P11 GT. It all came out & went in from the top, in one big lump box still on and everything. That's all I can remember for now!
