Tanx mang... I got to figure out this dip in tq though, I think I need to check my timing again. 8k drop in early powerband is wierd. Maybe I'll drop it down and see if it makes dif.

I can email em if you want.

I think it may be nice outside this weekend, maybe I'll be able to install the ssac? I'd like to get another reading to compare.

Can anyone tell me the differences (lift, duration) between the stock USDM 98 cams and the stock USDM roller rocker cams?

On my race car I have a 99 USDM stock engine. It has WAI, Header, pulleys and open 2.25 inch dump-behind-driver exhaust. I would love it if my car put similar numbers to this car.

Yeah Jay I feel you... I usually would never dyno N/A...

Here's why I did it though...

Everybody and their mama wants to know the difference in power b/n the old style ssac/HS/et cetera and the new style w/ the beefy secondary. I'm offering to try something. I figured I would get base dyno info for my HS gen 3 and then since I had this 2.5" SSAC in the closet... Install it now instead of spring. (Plus I just realized my tired Hotshot header has a tiny crack at the y)

So I installed the new style header today and took a drive... it felt pretty nice. It I will get some dyno information on the differences maybe this week to see the difference and then post.

SOTP dyno says, w/ the bigger secondary and bigger primaries the car actually opened up a little more, the power seemed to come earlier, and the exhaust got a tiny bit louder at wot.

It all fits well under the car... now its 2.5" & shiny from header back, woot!

Jay, come get dyno'd w/ me! I might go again for the second time this week... Hopefully its for the better. I don't think I lost power w/ this mod because my hotshot is outdated, and I didn't know it but during the dyno I had a leak

Is the Gen 3 a 2" unit? I don't know numbers so I'll leave the kudos to everyone else.

I can't wait to see your numbers with the SSAC.

Your car is looking sweet as usual.

As always, thanks for taking the time and money to do this, I myself am having alot of trouble with what I want for a DP, on my SSAC. I cannot decide if I should just do 2.5dp, or a 2. Any idea when you are going to make it back to the dyno? Your results will greatly influence my choice. Thanks alot Ameen!

I plan on "breaking in" this header for a few hundred miles or so... I'm chasing down a small leak (ticking), that is coming from the head/header flange... I know how to take care of it though... . I plan on going back this week... I want to go on a day this week that has comparable weather to the last dyno day.

I can tell you what I felt this afternoon. I think the car was being held back by my tiny secondary... Today when I was driving around I realized the car pulled a tiny bit earlier in the band... and it was more responsive. This could be from getting rid of the bottle necking I had before, or maybe a hydraulic entrance/exit loss coming from a barely 2" orifice into a 2.5" cat to a 2.5" exhaust. Maybe its the larger primaries... Maybe its just that my header was an outdated design... I don't know though... It feels like a different car. Drivability suprisingly increased (I was scared it would be worse). I could give less gas and move at low rpm. Not sure why... But we'll leave it to the dyno results. I think high end may have been on par... I will def post them up here by this upcoming weekend. I just hope they prove what I felt in the car today.

Merry Christmas Bitches
