I know there are a lot of people, including myself, that are interested in the dyno results.

My official SOTP Dyno says that my SSAC, with the 2" secondaries and stock exhaust, gave me some extra go-power. Seems like better breathing from about 3K up, and it pulls harder all the way to redline, expecially in 2ond and 3rd. You gotta love a clear entrance ramp onto the freeway.
This SOTP conclusion follows SCC magazines results. They did a header shootout years ago, using the stock cat and exhaust. All the headers picked up 3-7 ponies, with the stock exhaust. I would theorize that the SSAC would outperform any of those older header designs. None of them had as large of primaries as the SSAC, nor did they have bigger secondaries.
However, this is all conjecture until....we start getting some numbers with the SSAC. Problem is, most folks like me, that buy an SSAC are....ahem....budget oriented. Dyno time ain't cheap.
Good luck Ameen, I think that the SSAC with the 2.5 secondary will beat any other header commercially available for our cars. I am not talking about beating a custom ($$$) header from Turbofreak or Jun. Just the off the shelf units.
Rock that dyno.

I am you chode! btw, I gave you feedback the other day...
I have to fasten the damn nut thats on the right side of the #2 runner first... damn thing is impossible to get to, can't get a socket on it because the damn primaries are to damn big. And you can't use a flared nut because it doesn't fit.
so until then... tick tick tick down the street I go hehe... I'll get that taken care of Friday, I have to day off that day... I'll try and get it dyno'd before then.

I doubt it will beat an AEBS or a Gen6 HS. Although neither one is still available. I'd like to get my hands on a 2.5, as the old style SSAC feels a little choked on my track car. I can definatly tell a difference between it and my old AEBS.

Hay m8, quick question - can you feel that dip @3.5k ish when you're on the road? I've got a P11 GT RR w. P10 egt tubular headers in my P10 and also have quite a dip at that speed, very noticable when pulling through the range. If you can feel it would you say the 2.5" SSAC really helped it?

Yes the dip exists from 2.5 to maybe 3.5 k... And then rises... I was looking into this, studying a couple of dynos and I saw the same thing on a few others. Its a little more prominent because the scale of the dyno is wacky... It looks wierd because the scale isn't 1:1. But its consistent. I assume, n/a SR's just do it at those points... 7-8ft-lbs..
As far as the 2.5" helping... I can't say until we see the results of the new graph. ... SOTP says powerband shifted to the left some (which is wierd), the first day I drove with it on, but the graphs will tell. I looked at a couple of SR20 n/a dyno's... RR, conventional and VE, and its apparent that the "dip" is similar... some more prominent than others... the important thing will be the difference on Thursday.
I'm sorry farmyfarm... Soon. Work sucks mang! Keep in mind... Two dyno run days is enough to pay for a header itslef...
It'll be up this friday... That's a tokes guarantee

Here is the bolt I have to get seated... I'm thinking about backing them all out again and then reseating the header before friday. I'd like to get rid of my lil tick before getting on the dyno.
I'm going tomorrow as the high temp for the day is more comparable to last weeks dyno day... and I have to get this bolt seated.... Here's the prob. The runner is huge, and there is no way to seat the bolt; a socket wont fit in there w/ an extention (I tried for a while) and an open end will fit but its tough to turn a 1/4 turn at a time. So I will get some good washers tomorrow and do what I do.
I'm also using a '00 DE OEM 3 Layer Metal Gasket...
