oohh washers, not a bad idea.
Yeah, I switched out the new style (01 and up I think) flared nut for one of my old DE nuts... if you look close you can see it... but I still can't get a socket on it, trust me. The runner is huge though... I'm going to try to loosen all of them and maybe shift it a bit to get some more play (while hopefully keeping the ports lined up. I'll try to mess with it today and if not Hopefully tomorrow morning...

Another problem I ran into was the 02 sensor position... its tilted more toward the fan... so if your not careful the wires can hit it if your not paying attention. Just one small thing though... i zip tied them out of the way

Great thing is the luster of this thing... its so beautiful. I got a bunch of fingerprints on it since I only had a couple hours to slap it on so it is gold, but has some blue spots

all true, but seem to be within acceptable standards. It works. people have used it for years.

it seems to me most of the hotshots are cracking now, and not really many ssac's

Yeah... ask me why I traded it out so soon

My HS has a hairline crack at the 1-4 "Y" connection... and I ran it on the dyno that way and didnt' know it ... still got those numbers somehow? lol Thats partially why I took it off... I was supposed to wait until spring. oops

It can be welded though...

This SSAC is damn pretty, has bigger primaries, bigger secondary and works, so no complaints...

i used a bench grinder and just took some metal off the nuts to get it to fit over the header and sit flush. your exhaust is exactly like mine, sounds great. your setup is also similar to mine. cannot wait to see the 2.5" results. finally can decide to get rid of my weapon r header and get another one to make my car full 2.5" exhaust.

I custom made some nuts for my downpipe to help with clearance issues. Here's what you need:

*<9mm nut that uses a 14mm socket
*11/32 or 5/16 drill bit and some intermediate sizes to "work up to it"
*M10x1.25 Tap (I already had one, but they are only ~$6 at NAPA)

The rest is pretty self explanatory.

You guys are so crafty

Since I'm limited with the tools tomorrow... my best bet is going to be my high tolerance for repetetive 1/8 turn wrenching and an open end extension of some sort

I'e got the day off whoo hoo!

check back tomorrow for results...

Wow...those are really nice numbers Ameen. Usually people struggle to get that kind of HP to the wheels with ALL the bolt-on's including s4's, header, cai, full exhaust, pulleys, tuned ecu, etc...AND, the mustang dyno actually shows lower numbers than most other dynos (dynojet, etc.) since it puts a load on the car.

Hey Saaby, long time no see

I was thinking the same thing! I was geeked at first and didn't understand how? I was hoping for like 130 to the wheels... The guy that worked it has been at that shop for 5 years. I hope when I go back this afternoon the results are consistent. Cross your fingers

Farmy - You want the good news first or the bad news first?

Good News, Got the header reseated, no leaks!

I finally got up the nerve to reseat the header... I relined up the ports, and shifted the header to the left a mm, that was enough to get me room to get a socket in there... torqued them to spec, drove for 20 minutes and torqued them again. NO LEAKS NOW!!!! She sounds healthy.

Bad News... Guess who's appointment got DENIED?
Mine... thats who's I called up Raceline after I got the header all good about my appointment, and they have been tuning two others customers, and said they will be booked for the rest of the evening. They said the earliest I can come in now is Tuesday or Wednesday... So, no dyno runs for Ameen today I'm so bummed the hell out. I want to know so freeking bad...

I will have to post the results next week then... As soon as I get the word that they is open dyno time I will post here. Until then I have nothing to post up

:sigh:

On a side note... the Gen 3 Header is ready for repair... I got news from a friend that they might be able to get the hairline welded up. She has done me good for a great time and it would be a waste to just get rid of her. She's sitting on the floor of my bedroom until then.

Man sorry to hear that! Once you get the gen 3 fixed, I am looking for something to hold me until the spring when i go turbo. If you think it is worth it, and want to sell it to me cheap...I'll take it off your hands. Looking forward to when you finally get the numbers.

If you order the vrs you have to special order a different tip. I wanted a smaller tip because I can't stand huge tips.

The tip is a double wall stainless 3.5" outer diameter w/ a 2.5" inner diameter. I ordered my system through tank (slamed150) here on the forum. He works at isp motorsports in columbus, ohio.

Holler at tank and see if he can help you... I don't know what the price was off hand but I'm sure he can help you. I got mine during a group buy. I think larocca racing is selling it as well. Before you order ask about the tips.

The guy josh said mustang dyno... Because he asked for car curb weight... And told me its more accurate because it uses real resistance or something like that. The model of they dyno is on first post/page.

I'm going this week sometime brian... Ill holler at you when I know what day for sure...

My bad mang... You know me it was spiratic....

they can run it in two different modes,. my spec made like 10 more whp in dynojet mode, kents 240sr made 20 something more....it inflates the numbers like a real dynojet does.

Make an appointment for wednesday at 330. i get off at 330 and can be there in 3 mins The ydo ask for weight by can run it without the weight..makes the numbers look better

I gots work! I think the earliest I can get off is like 4pm... I will come in early that day and make it happen.

Yeah I gave him curb weight of 2586 lb for fatter 98 SE-R's... I'll prob do it again to stay consistent. I'll do two 4th gear runs and probably do a 3rd gear one for the last one just for kicks. One cool run, a hot run, and maybe that 3rd gear one. Maybe he will hook me up on a fourth run since I was there like last week
