I know he is on stock cams I guess some of you guys cannot follow logic.
It says he laid down cammed sr numbers. Meaning his stock cammed RR SR20de with a few boltons made the same numbers that a S4 cammed SR20 motor with the boltons makes.

If anyone would like to take my car themselves and helicoptor it to a greenhouse w/ simulated temperatures and wind resistance with a track inside, and drive the dyno along the side of the track and test it be my guest...

But I only had $150... I'm sorry. j/k

On a more serious note... to the many that want to get technical with it - yes, there are many variables to take into account. Weather, temp, ecu learning or break in, engine temp, time of day, who is driving, it could go on forever really... but knowing this I tried to keep as many variables as constant as I could. As far as weather and ambient temperatures and pressures... I TRIED to pick two days that were very close in temperature, but last week when I tried to go for the second time they told me they were booked and I had to choose another appointment date. The most ideal way to do this would be have been to do this all in one day, but I didn't have the time nor did they...

I am sorry that some people can't take the information for what it is but "it is what it is"... and I tried my best to provide the information in that type of manor. Thats why I put "YRMV" in the first post. If the differences are not believable, or you can't fathom the information true because of a few discrepencies that I can't control, you can come take the car and my old header this weekend and dyno it; (I'm being serious for once) as long as you pay me for my rental car

Again my point:
Let's not get too serious here... the results are not psalms, or verses in the bible or the koran... they are just results. The main focus is, for those of you have have older style header's, there is a possible gain if you upgrade... It may be small, it may be large; regardless there is a gain possible.

Again, for the press records, and in good nature "your results may vary"

And yes... I am a goofball

edit: Oh, and for the record, I blame Brian for the results, its his fault... he chose the motor back in March.

I have the same issue.. i havent dynoed the car but i do feel a dip and its really noticable at 4000 rpm. I think it has to do with fueling as the car bogs at that point when i am at partial throttle... my setup is fuill usdm but I have s3r's so I dotn know if thats part of my issue
I plan to dyno this motor before i put the VE in and see what happens

I actually did some looking into this... I asked around and got a little feedback. I've seen variations of this on almost every Roller Rocker dyno that I have ever seen on here. I'm not sure why it is but it seems to be very consistent.

Mine is about an 8ft-lb dip... others seemed similar. For me it climbs and reaches a max at around 2.5-2.7k... then dips and hits bottom at around 3.3k... but from then on its a climbing himalayan to the top to about 5.6k. Not sure why.

I was told could be a pulling timing issue (being pulled pre 4k at WOT) but it seems to be normal for stock ecu w/ no changes. It could be a fuel issue as well, but I really don't have any partial throttle issues... As a matter of fact I only feel held at full throttle. The car feels wonderful at partial throttle under 4k. It's only at WOT.

Maybe I should check my TPS

Stock Spraybar Rocker SR20DE Camshaft Information
Intake: Duration = 248* / Lift = 10.0mm (Highport)
Intake: Duration = 240* / Lift = 9.2mm ('94 SE-R & 95/96 G20 Lowport)
Intake: Duration = 232* / Lift = 8.66mm (Late Lowport)
Exhaust: Duration = 240* / Lift = 9.2mm

Stock Non Spraybar Roller Rocker SR20DE Camshaft Information
Intake: Duration = 232* / Lift = 10mm
Exhaust: Duration = 240* / Lift = 9.2mm

I wish my dumb ass would have put some money down on that before I went again...

On a side note See if you and your Pops can get some dyno info on his car w/ the 2.5" as well... I want to compare numbers!!!!! See if this is consistent.

I think a Gen 3 has a 2" secondary. It is a great header but its a little outdated. It's primaries are a little smaller than the SSAC...
