Mustang Dyno'd the Daily Driver!
*** 2" HS Gen3 vs 2.5" SSAC Dyno Data (+ more) ***
Well, I know I'm N/A but... The results are in!!!
Well, since I had never dyno'd my car before... and since tons of people wanted to get before/after dynos for the newer SSAC header, I figured I would kill two birds with one stone and take my car to a local shop to get a base dyno done. I have a 2.5" SSAC sitting in my closet that I will hopefully get on soon to replace my old school HS Gen 3... Here are my specs & results.
EDIT: (6/21/07)
Dyno Scheduled for 6/21/07 - Changes: S3r's and CAI instead of WAI... We'll see...

Results???: (Check Post #2 for Graphs/Videos)
147whp 129ft-lb @ the wheels w/ Hotshot Gen 3
143whp 125ft-lb @ the wheels w/ Hotshot Gen 3
EDIT: (12/27/06)
154whp 136ft-lb @ the wheels w/ 2.5" SSAC
153whp 135ft-lb @ the wheels w/ 2.5" SSAC
I was hoping for around 150 whp so I was pretty happy w/ what I saw. Not that bad for stock cams and minor bolt ons... stock pulleys, stock flywheel, and cams. I'm glad I went... now I have baseline info for later. It kept climbing which was wierd because I always thought that Roller motors had their peak power at 5.5k... but it kept climbing past 6.5k. I kind of regret not asking him to pull to redline.
EDIT: (12/27/06)Well after waiting almost two weeks I finally got in to dyno again w/ the 2.5" SSAC swapped on. The results are posted up above. I yielded a 7whp gain, and a 7ft-lb gain with the new header. The same dyno was used indoor and the same mode was used twice. All the runs were done in 4th gear again... This time w/ the help of TUNED200 on the forum I was able to get a 1/4 mile run in and a 0-60mph run as well. With the simulation I was able to run a 15.04 second pass w/ a 95.02mph trap. (but it is only a simulation)The graphs are pretty consistent, and the gains were pretty consistent across the board. I will see if I can get a dynograph printed w/ all the runs combined next week. The best thing about it is I have video footage off all the runs and all the simulations... only bad part is I hit my Speed Governor... so no results past 6.7k in 4th.
My graph's are pretty crappy because I scanned them at work, but I will post them in the second post. I'll post the video's as well! I'd like to discuss them with yall... I wanted to discuss a few things about my powerband.
And lastly... I hit my speed governor in all my runs

so Fuel Cut Owns me...
