You know...sometimes I honestly want to throw my car in the fu*king garbage because of the little sh*t that is wrong with it. Today Im driving home from work and I notice that my Seatbelt light keeps blinking intermitently(sp).
So As im driving I do some simple test. I reach under my seat and unhook the wire just to see what would happen. The light goes out....
I also undid my seat belt to see what would happen (after I hooked the wire back up so that I only had one variable). The light comes on when I do that and it also starts to beep. With the seat belt latched the light comes on but theres no chime. This sh*t is getting really annoying to me. Anybody ever have this problem? I searched but couldnt find any threads...

my seat belt lights stay on for a random 1 to 5 minutes, even after i have already my seat belt clipped. its annoying, yes, but not enough for me to throw it away...
^^^Your crazy! Little stuff like that, thats not supposed to happen on our cars aggrivates the sh*t out of me. Id rather throw my car in the garbage then be forced to drive around and have lights just flashing for no apparent reason.
never had that specific problem, but my seatbelt light would stay on for a few minutes every day even if i had my seatbelt on, etc. Got very annoying, so i disconnected the harness under the seat..still lights up when i turn the car on, but it goes away shortly after...fack!
Your seatbelt light stays on for a minute or two after you buckle your belt and go because the passenger belt is unbuckled - the passive belts are theoretically (hah!) always supposed to be buckled. It's by design. If you want it to go out right away, try disconnecting the sensor for the passenger seat.

Funny you say that, mine don't do what you're describing... The sensor is also connected on the passenger seat, as well as the driver seat.
Johnny - I would venture to think that the sensor is bad on the belt buckle. Just replace the latch and see if it goes away.
When I added my ricer whiteface gauges with blue or green digits(it came with a remote to change colors and dim) and my cf bezel I removed the little black box that makes the beeping. It was so annoying.
I also disconnected the sensor under the seat just recently in preparation to remove the seats and put in aftermarket seats and a harness bar.
unplug the damn sh*t and stop complaining... at least your sh*t runs...
Your car wil be running whenver you get that head in and we throw it on. I cant wait!
Thats what I left out ***...even with the bitch unplugged it was still beeping. The light just wasnt coming on anymore.
Anyway Nissans have a wierd way of fixing them selves....today I hopped in the car after leaving the plug unplugged and what does the light do?? Absolutely nothing at all. The problem is gone
as pertuzian said above, the light will stay on temporarily unless both the drivers and passengers seat belts are buckled. i used to drive around everywhere with my passengers seat buckled just to keep it off. after a while i just stopped doing it and got used to the light being on for a few minutes and started ignoring it. now that you brought this back up, i'm sure as sh*t that i'm gonna start noticing it again! lol, fu*k!!
removed the little black box that makes the beeping. .
where is that lil bastard?! what car do you have? i hate that thing with a passion... if i ever find it im gonna light it on fire and then run it over and maybe smash it a little with a sledge...
