Some tips.
-I thought that 3 of the cans of rustoleum was overkill. I used only 1 can, and still had plenty left over.
-Make sure to buy the high-density rollers. In the beginning I bought some cheap-o walmart rollers and so I had to go back to ACE hardware store to buy some more.
-Thin the paint half and half with mineral spirits and water. It will feel hella wattery but this is the best combination.
-Sanding is painful, but it is necessary.
-The little mini brushes are helpful x100000
ahhhh so fresh and so clean clean

I did like 4 coats with 1 can with some left over. Yours came out great, this should be a sticky! You should post up a pic of the high density foam rollers so people know what to look for.

hell yeah dude! I seriously think I'm gonna do my B13 like that. We did an accord last summer as practice and it is better to be a little thinner mix than too thick, *** its easier to do another coat than to have to sand a whole lot more to take of the orange peel and rollermarks from a too-thick coat.
One thing I noticed is that the ambient temperature and humidity, and absence or presence of direct sun, make a big difference in how you need to setup your mix. Basically, every coat we did we had to rig the mix up differently, so after you get the feel for it, test on a bumper or whatever each coat just to check how the mix is going on.
Lots of thin coats is better than fewer thin coats.
dude that is so fu*king awesome, you have just inspired me to carry through with repainting my se-r. I will probably use that gloss black as well. Where did you get the paint from? also, nice sanding block, I need to find me a long one like that, and I'll probably make some long custom ones with wood from the hardware store

Sorry for sounding like a newbie, but is that regular paint for walls? Or is that paint for cars? I'm a total idiot when it comes to paint, and it would be awesome to do this instead of sending the cars I sell to Maaco all the time.

It's a long ass post, but 69chargeryeehaa painted his charger and it looks fantastic. There is a lot of detailed information scattered in this 20+ page post.
Did you shoot a clear coat? If not will you have to constantly wax it to make it shiny. Also, what kind of prep work did you have to do to the car, Masking, sanding, that nature of things.
