What to use for cleaning up harness

I dont even know if this is the place to put this. If any mods has a better idea, feel free to move
As the topic says, I'm looking to clean up my harness, and get all the new wires for sensors and gauges and o2's and stuff into the harness, to hide them, and to made everything look better.
Now, there is website up here that are meant for shops and electricians to buy their supplies, so, most of those people get large discounts and buy large quanta, so they get better prices. For me, the prices for what I want is rediculous.
I see a lot of guys around here that have really clean engine bays and harnesses, and I was just wondering what you guys use. Tape doesnt seem to cut it for me..it just becomes ugly after a while.
I was looking at something like this:
http://www.elfa.se/images/highres/h19753.jpg
The "hose"/"tube" marked with a 1 in this picture seems like what they use in the OE harness, but the prices are $2 per meter and upwards, so it get real expensive, really fast.
If anyone has any tips about something a bit cheaper, that can look clean and tidy my bay up, please advise
