Chassis Brace update

It has been suggested that I post here to update all you B13 guys that our chassis bracing is close to being released. It has been a real pain in the butt to find a B13 here in St. Cloud.
As soon as we have them set to go we will be posting an install thread, with many photos, weight, type of steel and Khongs' review separate from the thread. They will be weld on, likely in the 30 lb. range, so around 1% of your cars weight, but at the lowest level. And yes, they will be powder coated black, we will be offering them as an introductory group buy, and then selling them direct from our website, plus a few on eBay.
Below is a thread that many have viewed, but apparently not many go to the group buy section. Our email address is truaxmotorsports@gmail.com

Regards,

Dan Truax Truax Motorsports

Just wondering if you were able to start fitting that B13 from St. Cloud yet.

The B13 is not from St. Cloud but from Minneapolis, and is going to be fit here in St. Cloud. We are in flux for tomorrow as we are expecting a heavy snow fall. So we may have to back it up until Sunday. I have not talked to Khong tonight. We will keep you all posted and start a new thread with photos.

chassis braces

Good Morning guys. I am happy to announce that the chassis braces are finished. Yesterday Sean prototyped 2 sets for Khongs B13. They are not installed due to time constraints but will be soon. I am hoping he will post up here. I will call him today. Should have photos posted here today or tonight.

Gotta see this. This will be way cool if these chassis braces make a big difference in the rigidity of our tin cans.

This is what the B13 has needed all along. When Grassroots Motorsports listed the pros and cons of the 91-94 Sentra, the con was body flex. That's not going to be an issue anymore. There will always be cars with more horsepower but not many that will be able to outhandle us.

chassis brace photos

Here are the links to 2 shots Sean did at 1 am in a poorly lighted shop. I talked to Khong yesterday we are looking at a day this week when he can come into the shop after his work. Please bear in mind it is really cold and crappy weather we have been dealing with. Last night -6. Khong has a bunch of photos he told me he would post up.
The braces are made from 11 guage tubular steel, weld on application only and will be powder coated. They do not reduce ground clearance. They must be welded onto car whith weight on the wheels , so you will need a 4 post hoist. Sorry about the poor photos, it was 1 am and I told him to go back out to the shop and get a couple of photos.

chassis brace

We have not talked about it yet but our B15 Braces will be $350 plus once group buy is complete. These are just a bit easier to fabricate. I will post here tonight after talking to the boys, expect it to be near $300 + shipping. If we had 10 committed buyers we might come down a bit.

This is great news. You can put me down for a set. Thanks again for manufactoring this for the B13. It's good to see there are still companies who follow through with what they say they are going to do.

hello everyone. my car was the car that was used. it took us about 5-6 hrs to make measurements, cut the steel and mock up the brace and weld it together to make the final product. and in the end, we ran out of time to install them. i have pictures but they're still on the camera. i am also hopefull these will make the car more solid/stiff. i dont autocross or race, but i guinea pigged my car for everyone elses sake so these can be made. i've driven a b13 for 7yrs now, so i should notice any difference this thing makes. i just have to find time to get these installed now.

chassis brace

BoggeN you have our #. Just let us know when you can come. Prepping and welding them on will not take long. Sean is usually here most weekends. Thanks again for allowing us to use you car. I have seen the braces but can't wait to hear you initall impressions after a test ride down a curvy road.
Once this is done we will be taking orders. Mike will weld up a jig and we will weld, powder coat and ship quickly.

Just wondering how if you been able to do an install yet. I guess the snow is bad there because it's bad here in Idaho. Any chance of a Group Buy next month?

BoggeN is driving up tomorrow, 12/22. I plan to be in the shop when Sean welds them on with my digital camera. Yes, we will be posting up a group buy. We could start a list of guys who want a set. When we cut and weld up the first batch, it would be nice to know how many we need to make. Once we offically post up the group buy, it will take 10-14 days to get them shipped. Our powder coater is pretty busy this time of the year.

There is a thread in the Group Buy section for B15s . Are you going to be using the same thread for the B13?
