If you throw the spacer back in you can adjust the pedal to not let you press that far down, and you can dial in exactly where you want it to catch.

But now I have clutch pedal free play that goes half way to the floor. I can live with it if I have too as it's easy to drive like this. It's just a little wierd pushing a long way before anything happens. ANd the cable is adjusted all the way out, so unless there is a way to adjust the pedal in the cabin, the cable is as tight as I can make it without putting some type of spacer back in.
You can adjust the pedal in the cabin. If you have cruse, the adjustment bolt, is the clutch switch, and if you don't then it's just a bolt. The adjustment is above the clutch on the seat side. Look under there, and you should see it.

Wow , amazing i see this thread ,

Today as im getting to go to the bank from work my car had been shifting fine all morning and then as i went to go in reverse the gear would not go in. also first would not go in nor all the other gears. I was in a hurry so i turned the car off put it in gear and parked it.

I will try to not push the peddal to the floor later today when i get out of work.
