Hey guys I just bought a 93 NX2000 last night, it was sort of an impulse buy. It has 170K miles and the bearings were supposedly changed. It looks like the oil and tranny pans are greasy, but I have to look at them closer. I did see two spots on the driveway though.
Anyway I've been reading a lot on the forums these past two nights, but one thing that still puzzles me is what exhausts are available for the NX?
Currently I have some leaky junkyard setup that is a bit raspy and loud so I'm looking for something relatively quiet.
My future plans are to paint it, change the front pads, full tune up, lube clutch cable, tranny fluid change, oil change, coolant flush, bleed the brakes[?], and get some AGXs if I have enough money. I can't find any good, used springs though.
One last thing, my speedo doesn't work. It supposedly stopped working the other day, is the electronic sensor broken?
first and for most im just going to let you know that every question you are asking can be searched for easily. and if i were you, i would find out if you have AD22VF calipers (it is stamped on the top of the front caliper) so you get the correct brake pads.
next, go to vrsexhaust.com for your exhaust. they are not interchangable between sentra and nx2000.

oh i forgot about the pads. yes, axis metal masters are good. i personaly am useing axis ultimates and love them. nice and bitty like a new car. my se-r has nx2k brakes up front, stainless lines all around, completely flushed fluid useing dot4 synthetic, ultimate pads in front, oem in the rear.
SSautochrome header can be found on ebay.. VRS for the catback
and discounttiredirect.com or call 18005896789 ext 1878 ,,Sam..<- salesman
tell him you where referred from another NX2000 owner in Nc,, I'm getting my second wheel and tire package on friday from him ... he's a good salesman and he remembers the small stuff..
^ thanks for the pics. How does it sound though? I would really prefer to get a "square" muffler like a Borla or Flowmaster, but I don't know how they sound.
What I wanna know is what mufflers sound good and quiet on NXs.
classicaddict, I'll check that this Friday. I'll search the forums again for pads. I tried searching for exhaust too, but not much came up for NXs.
Would those pads fit or do I have to find out if I have the VF calipers?
I don't have money for wheels right now, that's why I want to paint the stockers gloss black. I would like to get a set of Konig Heliums in the future.
Is there anyway to know if I have the optional wheels besides by actually measuring the width or by tire size? Are there markings on the inside?
Right now my hood is stuck against the bumper so it's a two man job to open the hood. I'll try banging the area out with a hammer so it doesn't hit the hood.
Also my driver's side rubber seal is bad and it's dripping water into the interior. What type of silicone is good for this application?
Is it really necessary to run OEM wires, cap and rotor? I was thinking about just getting whatever they have at my local parts store.
One last thing, are there any other great forums for NX2000s?
Thanks a lot guys! I'm very eager to start working on my car, but I need to get a job first.
I would paint the wheels the same color as the factory color. The flat black thing takes away from the value of the car. It is distracting espically if the car looks stock.

I agree, unless it's a aftermarket wheel it should'nt be black

mine sounds great (LOUD) and very nice and deeeepppp .. I ran a test pipe instead of a catty,, BUT WILL be installing one as soon as I get the tranny back in.. this is NO doodoo blaster and definitly don't sound like a freakin honduh! ... I'll put the catty on just to tone it down a bit and I'll be happy. I did a sound clip of it now , just waiting to get another clip with a better recording device.

if you get the Nx VRS catback it will leave you room for the catty or a test pipe .. heres a shot where the catty should be..
