LAST WEEKEND I DROVE FROM QUEENS, NY TO FORT WASHINGTON, MD. THERE ARE 250 miles. HOWEVER, WHEN I GOT TO BALTIMORE CITY, MY GAS NEEDLE WAS ON RED ALREADY. I THOUGHT THAT A SINGLE TANK WOULD LAST ME UNTIL I GET TO MY DESTINATION. SO, I FILL IT UP.

ON MONDAY, ON MY WAY BACK, I HAD TO TANK AGAIN WHEN I GOT TO NJ EXIT 14. SO THEN THIS SURPRISED ME ONE MORE TIME COZ I THINK IT'S NOT NORMAL.

SO, I ASK TO ALL OF YOU... DON'T YOU GUYS THINK THAT MY B13 IS CONSUMING A LOT OF GAS???

SENTRA'S HAVE A GREAT REPUTATION FOR THEIR LOW GAS CONSUPTION !!!

ALL COMMENTS ARE VERY WELCOME!!!

Not to tell you what to do, but if you drive closer to the 65mph to 70mph range, your mileage will improve.

Dunno how it is on the B13's but the ScanGauge didn't show that much of an MPG difference between 70mph, 75mph, and 80mph as long as you dont WOT it.

Do MAFs get dirty enough to where it effects the reading ? If so I think I should
clean mine since I've never done that and I'm the original owner of the car !

It's more the weight of the tire and wheel combo and the added rotational interia of pushing most of the mass out another few inches (diameter, not width).

That's why I don't get why people run 17"s on B13s. Big heavy wheels just make the car more sluggish.

My NX2K (smaller tank) gets about 320 miles per tank, averages about 33-34 MPG with a 10:1 motor. keeping your tires inflated is good advice, also remember that any car will get better mileage around 45-55 mph, and these SR20s love it when you short shift them. I keep a fuel mileage log on a clipboard under my seat (I know, I'm a geek) and now it's like a game to me to see how high I can get my mileage. best I've seen yet is a little over 35 MPG, and the worst I get is around 29 when I run the A/C, or around 25-27 when I go to the mountains.
