door won't open ! *HELP*

whenever i replaced my window my door stopped opening

i can hold the lock unlocked then pull the handle and nothing

i can put the key in the lock and pull the handle and nothing

should i take it to a mechanic or locksmith ? im unsure who would know more and fix it the cheapest

this is in my 92 se-r

you forgot to reconnect the handle cable that actually pulls the latch. you can try the thieves way of opening with a coathanger inside the outer panel and try to snag the cable to trip the latch. but yeah, you forgot to put it back together right. good luck.

yea, no need to have someone fix it. ill get a picture of what he is talking bout.. its kinda nice not to have door panels lol

not sure exactly how to do the thieves way

see the blue thing? the rod might not be in that. if its not, lifting the outside handle will do nothing. when u lift the handle, the rod pushes down on the blue thing, which is connected to a lever of sorts, and pops the door open
