I own 98 240sx, just picked up a sr20 motor for next to nothing. actualy more like nothing from my boss, long story, I know its from japan, RWD due to mounts, exh manifold, dist. hole and water inlet and out lets. It has no intake, harness, or dist.. I would like to tear down and take my time rebuilding this motor to relpace my KA24de. Problem is I have no idea what I have other than it is a SR20 and where to get the parts that I need. It has a silver v/c cover, stamped SR20 on the rear of the block follwed by some numbers and an alpha. I realy need help properly identifieng.
I have been told that I can use my exsisting harness, ecu, dist, and intake but how can that be and is it true? ANY and ALL help would be greatly appreaciteted. I can take pics of engine if that would help anyone help me. Thanks!!!!!

post up that stamped number. there is also a thread on here you can find through searching that tells you what codes go to what engines.
