PLEASE HELP!! JWT w/ emanage setup...look

Can anyone please post pics of their piggy-bag tied into their ECU??? Please read this...

I just got my b14 and it is running a JWT ECU with regular emanage-blue tied into it... I'm assuming Greddy doesn't make a plug-and-play harness for these cars.

The wiring is a big mess... There are tons and tons of wires from emanage and the JWT ECU. I can only hope everything is hooked up right, but I am one-by-one stripping the crimped-connectors off and soldering them/taping them up cleanly. I WILL POST PICS LATER!

Can anyone give me any other better advice?

If thats whats been hacked up, thats what I would do. I guess it depends on how much you trust the previous owner, or whomever did the work installing and tuning the blue.

Whats the JWT ecu programmed for? What injector and maf are actually on the car?

Well, the car itself is reputable, it's "Joes97TurboSE-R"'s car... It's a very very clean b14, but the ECU wiring I want to take the time to cleanup while I wait for my clutch/flywheel to arrive.

I think it has a 300zx MAF becasue it is a Nissan MAF, but deff not the stock one, and it has 64# injectors he said. I know the car needs a tune.

Sell the JWT and Emanage, and get a Calum realtime ECU.

I actually just fired an email over to Calum a little while ago. I just had a couple of questions I needed him to answer.

I'm guessing this is one of the cars Jay Haas setup? JWT ecu programmed for MSD 72lbers@3 bar and a Z32 maf, but using a Z32 maf with motron 64lb injectors at 4 bar? Then running an e-manage blue on top to tune?

If it was me personally I would do what Eric is recommending, but I realize thats not for everybody.

If the car isn't running correctly or needs tuning you've got three options (and really which one you go with should be what your comfortable with or the shop that is going to work on the car is comfortable with)-

1-Learn how to use the e-manage blue and fix any wiring problems.

2-Repair or replace the harness (and if its been hacked up, its often easier just to replace it), change the setup to match the JWT programming, sell the blue.

3-Repair or replace the harness, use a RT and tune for the current setup, sell the blue/JWT.

If your not really interested in developing a tune for the car option 2 is the easiest. I would start by calling JWT and finding out if the current program on your ecu is their most current 72lb/Z32 maf program, and if it isn't have your ecu updated.

On option 3, I think there are a couple of guys up your way already doing this (ask Erick in CT).

I just saw a pick of a Z32 MAF/connector, and I'm going to say 99% sure that's the MAF I have on my car. The guy that sold me the car said it used to have 72# inj but had some issues so he changed over to 64# and they will flow as good as 72#... I believe my fuel pressure at startup is like 55psi.

Also, as far as I know, a couple of guys did help with the build, so maybe true...

I would like to get rid of e-manage all together as I've never heard anything spectacular about it. I'd like to see what Calum has to offer, I sent an email with a couple of questions (cpuguy).
