Adding bigger injectors using factory ecu.

Could I add bigger injectors without the use of a tuned ecu? Will it run them? what kind of problems will it cause if I did so. I want to up grade my 259cc's injectors with 370's. Jwt is taking 2 years to send my ecu. I figured why not have everything ready to go. Let me know what you guys think.

It will run pig rich... I wouldn't do it.

Have you called up JWT and asked them about your ECU. The one time that they did take their time I called them up and was able to talk them into shipping it out sooner than they were planning too.

Can't he get a safc2 until his ecu comes in and then fine tune his ecu when he gets it?

^^^ but why hack up the harness just to use the SAFC for a short while... and it's added cost on top of that.

I would be calling JWT and asking them nicely to get the ECU out the door. I've done this in the past and it worked... it just took a few calls.

wow, 2 years.... it only took 2 weeks with calum.......

I don't think you have to "hack up" the harness. If you're going to be hooking up expensive electronics, don't use a pocket knife and some electrical tape. If you did it right it wouldn't hack up anything.

Oh wow I didnt know you do all that bad stuff to the motor. Can you adjust the fuel with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator with the 370cc injectors?

If something is worth doing, It is worth doing right. Wait for your ECU or at least use the SAFC to adjust for the larger injectors.

That sucks about jwt....Its such a shame too because they make such good products, but the turn around time just plain BLOWS!! Even when you email them it takes a week or two before you hear back I'll be ordering some s3m's for my gtir motor and I am going to order months before I am going to need them, that way they'll come right on time

Good luck!

I'm actually surprised you got an email back. I've always just called them and never had an issue with getting things in a timely manner.
