nah no shake on start up, no jolting when I change gears or release the gas quickly, so i don't think it's the engine mounts.

Also the gearn stick shakes alot when I turn off as well, so maybe the clutch or gearbox I thought..

You engine diesels, which means the mixture in the cylinder ignites without spark, just by pressure and heat.

High idle or too low octane gas, bad ignition timing can cause dieseling.

In most cases it won't hurt much but if it diesels really bad and you don't fix it, engine damage will occur.

My car has worn motor mounts and too high idle, maybe yours have both problems too. My car diesels a tiny bit, that's because I can't get my idle low enough.
