Old school members: I'm baaaaack!! :)

Hey all, so I've been a member of this forum owning various SR20 vehicles over the past decade. Well I finally sold my last 98 SE-R in 2004 to a fellow member here.

Since then, over the the next 8 years or so, I've had dreams about finding my '91 SE-R (my favorite of all the ones I've owned) in my driveway, had dreams about driving it around town, only to wake up so dissapointed. I've been driving SUV's for the past few years, but this weekend, I picked up this:

It's a 1993 SE-R with the JWT S2 cams, JWT pistons, HS header and 2.5 catback exhaust, deleted power steering and A/C, and black powder-coated B14 rims. New transmission and clutch, and actually, it has a sunroof!! I have never been in a B13 with a sunroof.

The car REALLY moves for being naturally aspirated and the modifications it has, in fact, I was shocked when I stepped on it. Although I haven't driven an SR20DE vehicle in years as I said.

Anyways, just wanted to say hello again, to all you old-school members and new members as well, (check my registration date, I've been on this forum for 12 years) - so I'll be back on the forums from time to time.

I caught the SE-R fever again. It is a disease, a good disease. I was so totally obsessed with the SR20 when I was younger. So much has changed in my life in the past decade, some good, some bad, but that hasn't.

Awesome!! I've been pretty good, almost have my Master's degree, and I play music for a living, doing this and doing that.. like I said, I kept having dreams of finding my '91 SE-R in a "garage I didn't know existed" or something and eventually I just couldn't take anymore and I came across a nice one that was a good project and had to pick it up. I'll tell you, after driving 2 SUV's, and gasp **HONDA FIT** since I sold my last SE-R around 2004, I can't tell you how much fun it is to drive one again. I feel like I'm a decade younger.

How about you? Got any more pics of the DET swap/updates??

Welcome Back meng, Dang! i know what you mean by having dreams about driving an SE-R again, Glad you picked up another one, we don't have SE-R's here in the Philippines, so i'm just building myself one at the moment (more like a B13 4-Door VE)

Yep. The very moment I first test drove my new one, it brought back an incredible rush of nostalgia. I had to have it. And for me, that feeling is ONLY for the B13s - not the B14 or any of the others. The cars just have SOUL. I could have had a '98 200SX SE-R for a little more money but I went with the '93. SOUL.

I agree. I've bad 3 B13's as well, had 1 B14, and drove my friends other B14 all the time as well. Here are the reasons:

-It feels faster (and IS, the whole high port vs low port)
-It doesn't have all the extra junk - I actually wanted roll-up windows
-I feel more connected to the car, with the B13 dash lay out
-Other reasons I can't exactly explain, the look of the car, the way it drives

Not to say I don't like the B14 or anything, I sure do, but not as much.
