I have normal stuff removed from my car, such as rear seats, and trim and stuff like that. When I go the track I take the passenger seat out. I also drive my car at least 70 miles a day so I keep everything up front in the car. Helps the sanity some times ya know.

my car is currently very light (watch out figgy and se-r sam, although i have not weighed it yet. soon very soon) and i have kept my door bars and my bumpers. but like i've told a few of my friends no piece of interior is structual and if removed it will not make the car less road worthy. as long as "no" structure has been removed then the car is in it's original shape and then no less unsafe then a car with full interior. to a particular point of weight stripping your car is free power, then past that point you must spend money to save weigh. i currently have $50 in light hoodpins for the hood and trunk and $45 in plexi for windows so i will have a fairly light car for relitively a small amount of money.
we just need to all agree that some ppl want 250hp with a full interor running 13's and some ppl want to run 13's with 160hp.

I'm with ya hotshot---removing door bars and bumper inserts on a daily driver is kinda wack. but anything that just doesn't do anything...ok.

What if some people wnat 250hp with a stripped interior? Personally I enjoy this thread and you've given me so many ideas but I don't want to do this to my beautiful egg. I think I'll have to buy an SE-R soon and strip it baby strip!

I just removed the useless metal brackets on all doors and the metal brace under the steering wheel and another one on the passenger side behind the storage bin. Including screws, a total reduction of 6lbs 10oz.
Just use double sided tape under the door handle if you don't want it being lose after you remove the door brackets.

BTW, my strut bar weighs like 7lbs. What's the lightest strut bar you guys recommend for the se-r?

The stock hood weighs around 30 yes, but the cf hood weighs like 6-8 pounds.
