Hi, I took off my trunk supports, I only have those necesary to close my trunk, but I can't close it!!! It is folded, after this my trunk is like a piece of paper What do you recommend me to close my trunk??? I have my original wing, so I can't put "hood pins or trunk pins". I am worried about this.
You might have gutted your trunk a little too much.
It should look something like this in order for it to keep its shape.
im thinking of taking the cabel that releases the trunk out being it dosent woek anyway.fig how did u remove the cabel that releases the gas lid,i mean does your gas lid open going down the road are do u have to open it lol.and is there anything that can be removed behind the rear panels below the quarter window?im wanting to keep all interior panels for reasons so i cant take them out.

The only thing below the rear side windows is metal bracing. Not very heavy at all when taken out, but I had to do it. Every pound and once matter if you have the time.
does anyone know what kind of weight i would save if i took my stock sunroof out and put a cheap flip up in.fid u may have answered this on before but this post is to big to search.oh yeah waht does your b16 weigh and are you doing any weight reduction or performance mods to it because we have a 91 e
I have kept my door panels and dash. That way if someone is next to me at "The Track" they will not be able to tell the car is stripped to hell and back.

The regular sunroof is heavy as hell compared to the flip-up.
Im thinking savings in the 15-20lb range.

Hey figgy it means alot to me to for you to say that man. Do you have any more Ideas for me? I bought a blazer so I don't drive the car much anymore so I'm pretty much open to anything. I'm going to take some more pics today to add to the other thread.
Smoothdaddy, I already bought the aluminium "flashing" in home depot, I also bough some glue named "roof and flashing rubber" (is this ok?)
How did you paste the aluminium to your trunk???
I think that the fuel tank is under the trunk, I'm worry of this, because I could cut my fuel tank or a friend tell me that my car could explode with the fire of the grinder.

What do you think about this, any ideas???
I used sheet metal screws to screw the flashing on from UNDERNEATH the car.
Just screw it to the frame on the sides. You will have to come up with some cool "CUTTING SKILLS" in order for the front and back of the flashing to fit right.
The fuel tank is under the back seat, in front of the rear suspension.
LOL.......nothing is going to happen. It will not explode. You are not going to cut anywhere NEAR the tank. Sparks will fly but you will be OK.
After you screw the flashing on, use that "roof rubber" to seal around the edges.
This will keep exhaust gases OUT!!.
