I shortened my side-exhaust with no resonators ( can you hear me now? )
and I shortened the rear frame ( YIKES!! ) ( track car only status right there )
I also trimmed some useless stuff under the carriage.
Why not remove the front and rear sway bars, switch the seat belt for a racing harness?
People have reported that the car steers funny without the sway bars. I still drive mine on the street quite a bit, so I chose to leave them on for now.
Sway bars won't affect anything at the drag strip. If all you do is drag race it go ahead and take them out. Actually if you take them out drive the car around on the streets and let me know how it drives. If it's not too bad I'll take mine out too.

Swaybars are an important part of the suspension for cornering, not for straight driving...
Wicho (SE-R_Tj): Lower Trim Tsurus don't have rear swaybars & I guess front ones are really tiny, so I guess you could take them out, specially that you have stronger than stock springs & you just drive straight.
You should have no problem with the car after removing the swaybars (except having more body roll). I know my ST swaybar (front) weighed 18 lbs.
For the ultimate in suspension weight reduction, get Koni 2800s which are aluminum body monotube struts. Then remake all of your control arms and links out of a lighter metal. You could probably save 50 lbs this way (but you'd probably spend $10k)
my nx handled pretty good concidering my sways werent connected. but they were still on the car(i lost the bolts due to bottoming out with out me knowing but im hookin gdem bitches back up as soon as i get my D'2
