its the big wavy metal part in the door.

you need to cut them out. unless you have a roll cage, i HIGHLY recommend AGAINST cutting these out. you will just have flimsy ass sheetmetal between you and some gigantic SUV.

they put those in there for a reason... i only cut mine out after adding a bunch of bars to my roll cage (x-brace AND kojima's "crash attenuator").

here's what the side impact looks like:

yeah, my friend got hit in the drivers door in his b14, I thinkn the only thing that kept him from being crushed was the steel beam, the entire door is wrapped around the beam.

Flip top sunroofs are the ones that you can only open by pushing them up (not slide back). I did some searching and Fig bought his from Pepboys.

There's a stamped steel reinforcement/impact piece right above your knees. First, remove the plastic cover (take the fuse cover thingy off fist, and remove the entire plastic shroud that lies underneath the steering column).

Then, you'll see the large sheetmetal structure that basically covers the entire underside of the driver's side dash. You have about 7 10mm head bolts to remove and then you simply yank it down and out. Don't pull too hard since your "timing computer" is attached to a stud on the left hand side of the plate. Take a 10mm deep socket and remove the bolt from the stud and the module wil be free. Now use one of the leftover bolts and re-secure the module to the now free bracket hols left open by the now missing stamped steel support piece.

There you have it, easy weight removal...spelled out for you.

Maybe this pic will help. See the far left of the pic? Its that curved metal piece that is directly under the steering column AND the sheetmetal it is attatched to:

Probably not a bad Idea, although I dont think it would save much weight.

You can cut out the wheel well with a sawzall. I used it to cut almost all the metal parts out of my car because those rotor tools suck ass.
