I've been researching glass replacement materials. It looks like acrylic is better overall. It's tintable and fairly scratch resistant. Its not as strong as lexan but it is still a good amount stronger then glass. Plus its frigin cheap to boot.
i ripped out my boys rear bumper reinforment and fit the cover back on by making some mounts out of some threaded rod.... and we took out the sound material...wish we could weight it..

Don't use acrylic. As soon as you start drilling holes along the edge it'll break. If it doesn't break when you drill, it'll break when you rivet or bolt it down. I know, I tried it.

you need a special bit for acrylic, but it'll cost the difference between lexan and acrylic plus the few extra sheets of acrylic you'll end up f-ing up on

you can get those at any auto parts store. Discount definatly has them. They are heater hose caps. I would not use anything from home depot on a heater hose.
i did sell the nx technically but it never left my posession... it was a legal thing so i can keep the car after a court date either way i now own it again and we all know im cleanin her up and makin her different
