Don't pay attention to how dirty and funky it is. The interior will be getting a new coat of paint to cover up all the bare metal and gray areas.

wow... so same with trunk and hood? you used tin snips? I think I might do that. but i don't know if i want my back to be any lighter. after i tok out my woofer, my back has been fishtailing a lot on moderate turns (at moderate speeeds ) it makes it exciting... easier for the sounddeadners to go on, too...

I like the HOLES in the metal idea.
I cant go that route till I go with a CAGE.

I used a dremmel tool for my trunk and hood.

If anybodies ass should be fishtailing it should be mine.
There's just nothing back there.
PLUS, Im using 12 lb. 13x5 inch wheels back there.

I take turns like a freak and I havent fishtailed yet.

well, maybe i drive harder!...

yeah, i have a sentra 13" stealie on the left rear, 14" se-r on the right with negative camber (I don't know why. got to get it aligned)

I've been trying to dremel off sheet metal in my car, but the discs keep chipping off. it's scary as hell when the pieces fly toawrds your face. I think i'm going to get the big ass one i saw at home depot. maybe that will help

and how the hell you get a fish in there? where you guys get these... whine whine whine... i want one!

I was wondering if anyone would catch that. Where I drilled them, I don't consider very structural. The real support is hidden behind the areas with the holes. The b pillar has alot of metal that you can't see.

I weighed my hood today, 19 pounds. That is with more cut out than the first hood pic shows. It is as light as you can get with out going to a different material. I would have a new pic but my camera batteries went dead.
