i know i dont really lose the harnes....i was just listing what i removed....im guessing my car weighs 1900lbs in its current state....no engine, tranny, IC piping or exhaust.... But i have tried to take ot the non essential wiring and hide what wires i can.

this is the best thread ever - I would gut some sh*t out of my car, but I think I'll just strap on some boost and call it a day...

But if I had a beater SE-R, you're damn right I would reduce weight

i would get a new lighter steering wheel but where the hell would my cruise control crap go....i happen to like the cruise
And what about aftermarket seats? we know how much the stock seats weigh (33 i think it was) but how much do lets say sparco torinos weigh or shogun seats.....because i would want reclining seats...not the stiff carbon racing seats

Most of the reclining seats I have seen weigh more than our stock seats.

ok i have been missing out , but i am cought back up now. does this thread ever end? I would like to hope not , i have removed everything out of my interior including the heater and air conditioner boxes , how much do they weigh? also how do you all keep your rear end from sliding out from under you on 90 degree corners at 25 mph? i seem to have a problem keeping it in line , it always steps out , granted it is fun , but i dont think its exactly legal . any tips would be greatly appreciated , other than to slow down because at 25 im already going too slow

I use AGX struts and the Hypercoil G2 springs.
My rearend NEVER slides out when the weather is dry. Not even taking 40mph turns. I love it. Wet weather is another question, though.

I've stepped it up now, all I have left is my dash, door panels, headliner, and center console. And my radio and stock speakers. Sold my sound system in the name of speed!

I'm about half way through with the sound deadoner, I need some dry ice badly, then some duplicolor to spruce up the spots left by it, and I'll be set!

The tar is a sound deadener. It stops the metal from vibrating and sound from coming thru. Like Dyna-Mat material.

any keg/beverage distributing place should be able to get you some...look it up in the yellow pages under dry ice.
