Let's see if we can make this work! Hyperco's are hitting the classifieds every so often and selling almost immediately at $300 + shipping.

Almost every time that happens, I get an email or PM from someone asking if we have any available, and Hyperco is also getting emails from around the country looking for availability. So I'm going to kick off another group deal to satisfy the interest. Past deals have always been for a minimum order of 50 sets, but we're going to try it at 25 sets this time, mostly because I tried to pull off a group buy earlier this year, but we didn't receive enough orders. At quantity 25 our cost goes up significantly, but we are only going to raise the price a little to $299 + shipping. As always, we need these orders to be prepaid. Once I have the money for 25 sets, the order goes to Hyperco.

Please only post here if you are seriously interested in purchasing a set. I'm going to keep this open for 8 weeks, or until we receive the money for 25 sets, whichever comes first. The sooner it's filled, the sooner we can get the order into Hyperco.

The springs will be $299 + shipping.EDIT 1/8/06 - The group buy will remain open until we recieve 25 paid orders!!! I will start accepting payments immediately, and if we do not receive the required number of orders by January 7, your money will be 100% refunded (minus any PayPal fees, if paying via credit or debit card). I will also put your name on the list if you don't have the money right now, but I will not hold back the order to Hyperco while waiting for payment, so if you’re on the list as a non-payer, and I get a paid order, you'll be bumped.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND... as with anything custom, this is going to require a little patience on your part. We can’t guarantee lead-time, but in the past, it’s been 12 to 14 weeks once Hyperco receives our order. So the quicker the payments come in, the sooner we can get the order to Hyperco, and the sooner they get in your hands. Since we're going in to winter, this is a good time to do this.

I'd like to thank Mike Kojima for helping us with the initial design parameters of these great springs, and for his continued support. Mike was kind enough to get a set of B13 Hyperco’s into the hands of Dave Coleman of Sport Compact Car Magazine, which lead to an excellent write-up and review in their April Issue.
We've probably sold close to 200 sets of these springs by now, and they have gotten almost universal praise. There are many, many reviews of them throughout this forum, and a few minutes of searching will more than likely answer any questions you may have.

Here’s some info from the previous B13 Hyperco group deals that you may find interesting.......
************************************************** *********
They fit 91-94 SE-R and NX2000's, the spring rate is 300lb front / 200lb rear, with a 1" to 1 ½" drop and they work like a charm with KYB AGX's, or Koni’s. Don't be put off by the high spring rate, your car will ride and handle better than stock, and WAY better than ProKits! There were many people in the first and second round that happily tossed their ProKits in favor of these springs.
This is a special order, since Hyperco usually only makes springs for race cars (F1, NASCAR, CART/Indy, IMSA, SCCA Trans-Am, etc), and Hyperco makes them for us only in quantities of 50+, and by special order. Don't miss out!
If you're not familiar with these springs, please take a look at some of the excellent feedback we've gotten from happy forum members....

FastNX
You just turn and the car goes where you want it, no body lean, no questions asked. You have no idea how fast you’re cornering until you look at the speedometer, then you don’t believe you're eyes. Wild. I don't know how they managed to make a suspension setup that handles so well, yet is so comfortable to drive in. Great job!

BlowN_SpecV
Hyperco Gen 2's are on!!
I must say I am VERY impressed. Outstanding product and I love the look!!

SERprise In WV
I finished the install of the new Hypercoil 300/200 springs, and can honestly, flat-out tell you that they are wonderful.
The ride is firm, but not harsh over bumps. Ride height is about 1 inch lower than stock, and one inch higher than ProKits. Just perfect, IMHO.
In my opinion, my SE-R feels like a totally different car than it was before. Even though the harshness is gone, the transitional abilities are a step above what ProKits had to offer. The car stays flat and goes where you point it.
Best *conventional* spring I've ever ridden/driven in any car. Just perfect.

Its311Pete
It's been a few days now and an auto-x since I installed my springs. I also built and installed a rear STB at the same time. My comments are pretty much like everyone else, cornering is much more flat, turn in is crisp, and looks are great also.
Ride comfort isn't compromised allot, it really isn't that bad, bumps are not harsh, just a little more disturbing than stock. On and off throttle the car moves very little.
Auto-Xing, With the springs, AGX's and Azenis it was a HUGE change for the better. I was doing things with my car I didn't think was possible. I truly believe with a little more fine tuning I will be as good as a Koni/GC setup on a Classic.

Narcotix
This set really does soak up the big bumps and dips way better than the stock setup. The progressive spring rates seem to really help keep the chassis off of the bumpstops. Braking and accelerating are very much different from the 100,000 mile stock setup. Dive and squat are markedly reduced, and turn in is much sharper than the previous wallowy stock suspension.

dreadsword
Excellent springs!! Smooth install, great fitment. No weird noises or anything. Nice blue colour too.
Performance: Wow! Had my first auto-x on them last night, and understeer has been reduced hugely- I would say by about 70%. Car is now more prone to throttle oversteer - which is a good thing - much more neutral and predictable handling. The lack of understeer is just awesome.
FYI - the springs are on over *stock* dampers... can't wait to fix that!

I'm interested in this deal, but will you ship international? If so, can you please check shipping cost to Melbourne, Australia. I'll also have to check what struts are available locally before I commit, but my struts are due for replacement so i've got to do something about it, this deal times in well for me.

Thanks

Depending on when you need the money and when you can deliver them...I'm very interested. I've missed previous opportunities and I need to get in on this. I can't afford full coilovers, so these springs + a decent set of struts are what I need.

International shipping has burned us in the past. Do you have someone in the US we could ship them to?

Thanks,

Chris

I need the money before January 7, which is when the group buy closes. We do not have a production date yet, but as I said in the first post, this is a custom made product, so you'll need to excercise some patience. Production time varies, but in the past, it's generally been 12 to 14 weeks after we send the payment to Hyperco.

Thanks,
Chris

Not right now. We have 18 sets of rear springs in stock, but to have Hyperco make us just 18 front sets will be very expensive.

Hi Chris, what was your problem with international shipping? If we go for USPS Global Express Mail (with tracking), what's the problem? I don't have a US address I can ship to unfortunately

Thanks for your help, if it's too hard, I understand.

Sounds good. If we get 25 people before Jan 7 (and paid) will you order earlier? Either way, mark me down for a set for my '93 SE-R.

Thanks,

Basically I have heard that ANY other springs are practically junk compared to these. If we could get 25 people involved for B14, would they do it???

At this point, I'd pay $350 for a set for B14 from the comments I have heard.

I just feel like buying any other springs will just be throwing away money

Honestly, I feel the same way. I offered a few people $350 for a new b13 set in the classifieds, but they already had buyers. It's tough when you can't always be online to check the classifieds to get these bad boys and they usually have buyers within an hour. I truly hope this deal goes through.

Also, I'm stunned that hyperco has not decided to make these yearly limited production springs seeing how popular they are. I guess I don't know how their business model works, but something just doesn't add up or perhaps they may have very inefficient manufacturing. It's strange to me that this is the only way these springs can be bought while their popularity and performance reviews have been nothing less than stellar.

GREAT springs guys, hands down the best I have tried. You need to jump on this ASAP.

What I don't get is why Powertech or Serban's place or SOMEONE doesn't go ahead and order a bunch at the same time as this buy, which would lower the price they could get them for, and allow them to keep a stock for immediate sales.

Hell, JGY could even do it, and turn around to sell them at $350+ship, available anytime someone needs them.
