Lots of install pics, not much on the ride/performance of the springs. Can anyone offer up more information/experiences on these for our members? Thanks,

Brent

Care to elaborate on the difficulties of "proper spring seating" ?

I didn't have any problems seating the springs. It took me an hour and a half to do the entire install.

Coach- The springs are stiff. Stiff enough, but not too stiff. Car doesn't lean but my back doesn't hurt when I get out of it. I used to have an SER with an ES master kit, Suspension Techiques sway bars, front and rear strut bars, and a lower control arm brace. My NX's suspension is stock except for the springs. Both had 40 series tires. I'd say my NX handles slightly better than the SER did.

I think these springs are taller than the other drop springs on the market. I remember the Hyperco's did not require a compressor to install on the AGX, and these definitely did. Then when I tried to release them onto the perches it was difficult to get them to 'land' in their cradles.

On the plus side the dead coils ( I think these have one more than Hyperco II's) keep the perches in constant contact when fully extended. The GC's would lose contact, and create a vagueness I hated. Also there was a jarring when they reconnected that would compromise handling. My H&R would hop an jump the car when this happened. The Hyperco were sweet, but definitely not this stiff. these springs need harder driving that I don't like to do on the street especially with the alignment so far out.

Last night my new roomate took me for a ride in his 1990 325i convertible, and he is a very spirited driver. I took the SE-R out tonight for a proper ride on the same route and the springs acquited themselves well. I easily exceeded his speeds through the route even though I had never actuallly driven it myself.

I still need an aligment to dial it in, but overall the high spring rates are not noticeable . In fact I would not think the rates were nearly this high, but the car stays remarkably level when pushed. I really would like to find an auto-x to confirm things more soundly.

if all goes well and i purchase this egg i've been eyeing, i will end up taking a set...

shipping to 33071 quoted at $19.

Total cost would be $244. All the info you should need is in the first post if you wish to purchase a set.
Thank you
R

Alright guys, I have one last rebate of $30 to offer to anyone who buys a set of these springs and writes me a review.
Due to circumstances beyond any of our control, someone else has had to pass up his, so I can offer it to someone else now.

Yeah but your springs aren't as stiff as these. These are over 100% stiffer than eibachs.

No bites?????
C'mon now....
These springs are of higher quality then almost every other aftermarket spring out there, and they cost about the same as a set of Prokits for petes sake.
They give the car a much nicer ride then any other conventional(Eibach, Tein, ST, etc.) spring out there.
The only other springs that are comparable are the Hypercoils.

and I still have one more $30 rebate available for anyone who will review these. How can you beat that???!?!

A set of very nice springs for $195 plus shipping (for one lucky person)...and even if you aren't the one to get the rebate, even $225 is a very good price for what you are getting.
