Lovefab Turbo Setup Group Buy

********UPDATE********

2/5/2007

Cody has the prototype and J-pipe done. He has to finish the DP jig now and they are ready to roll. We are waiting for the larger port VE/DE flanges also. The first manifold goes to Nismo1997 (DET head) and will be ready to go out in the next day or two to the coaters.

****************************************
Cody has two NSX's that he has to get out of the way to really kick down on our kits. He will have something for us on the weekend. Can everyone PLEASE put down what you ordered in this thread, also put down what turbine housing you have. IF you need a WG or turbo, let me know as Cody is a dealer and can get AWESOME Prices. WG 44mm Tial at $350 and 50mm Tial BOV for $195

****************************************
Cody has the car and will be starting to fab up/mock up the new setup he is ready to start taking down payments. Please send in your payments. It is still open to half or full payment and please get with him on specifics so he can get you an exact price. We are looking at a really trick support bracket for these also that will mount to the trans mount. It will make it more reliable (not that it can get much more reliable) and is made of a rod end and heim joint. Pretty nice, $50 I think for it.

We have enough to do the GB, please have down payments or full payments in by January 13th. That is the weekend I drop off the car to his shop to jig up the new sidewinder. Thanks everyone!!!! I can't wait to get these out to you guys.

Group Buy List:
1. Nismo1997 T3 5bolt and 38mm Tial WG add Vband on housing and O2 bung
2. Panapower
3. Vpulsar
4. AG>SR *2
5. Sith
6. Civicdragon GT 4 bolt standard and 44mm Tial WG

12/18/2006

I spoke with Cody, prepay can be done in two ways. Either you can do a $750 down payment (50%) or you can do a full payment of $1500 (100%). THe full payment guys will get their manifolds first. THat means less wait and more time to get cars ready before spring.

Also, the 50% downpayment folks, the downpayment won't be refundable once he starts building the manifolds. I think that goes without question though as COdy doesn't want to be stuck with a bunch of inventory and manifolds sitting on his shelves.

He is accepting payment through MO or Paypal (+3% if paypal please)
His paypal address is his work email address: Cody@Lovefab.com

If you have specific request, add ons, etc then please call him directly for pricing and so on: 231-499-3912

Now, on to the time frame. These will start in January with the jig and first manifold. He will get my car on the 6th to put on the hoist. IT will be created on an NX with KOYO radiator, basically the smallest amount of room possible out of all of our platforms. THis will assure that the setup fits on all the rest of the cars with no issue. Any questions on that, give me a PM or email and I will hit you up!

********UPDATE********

Cody agreed to take my brother's car in and jig up a new sidewinder manifold for me. Once it is done he said he would do a run of them to forum members that want to join into a GB. He is really busy with ACURA NSX turbo kits so I am not sure on the availablity of any FWD manifolds in the future. Everyone that got in on it last GB was very pleased with the EL setup. I like the sidewinder style better though, they rock!

Product Features:

* Fully AC compatible
* A full 3 inch downpipe can be utilized
* Professionally TIG welded in-house using 100% argon to backpurge for full, unpolluted penetration
* Made of 304 thick wall Stainless Steel
* Full CNC machining
* Threaded turbo flange**
* Head flange made of CRS 1018 with expansion slots to ensure proper sealing
* As with all Lovefab manifolds, this piece is protected by a life time warranty against cracking

** Turbo flange is to be specified at time of purchase.

Looking at $1500 for Manifold, DP, WG dump tube. He will want down payments of course, but I have about 4-5 guys already interested which helps. Once I have confirmed 5 people, Cody will designate a Down Payment amount and start the build. I twill be about 3-6 weeks to complete them all, but they will be shipped out as they are finished in a first come first serve basis on who pays full amount.

www.lovefab.com is his web address, his number is on the site

This is what the FIrst Gen Sidewinder looked like, and the next one will be very similar. We will clock the turbo a touch for more radiator clearance and also angle it upward for more intake pipe clearance. We are also looking at a top mount instead of bottom mount for more radiator clearance and IC piping clearance.

We only spoke briefly about this GB previously. I will get more detail from him tomorrow and see what he is looking at. I know paying up front is the easiest way, from an administrative stand point and a records keeping standpoint. But, I know how people hate paying up front for things in a GB. I will post up with some more detail early this week.

Yeah, that about covered it. Once I get a final go ahead with Cody, I will start taking a list of what people need. TUrbo flange, outlet flange, WG preference and any special requests. THings like V-bands ont he DP and the turbo, divided turbo flanges, dual WGs, extra O2 bungs for wideband, EGT probe taps and so on. Keep in mind, most of those are extra cost as they all involve materials AND labor.

here is a quick question: is there going to be any type of support brackets or anything to hold the manifold/turbo?

THe first gen didn't need it, it has many miles on it now and is on the third owner Me, Tim (AFSTEGG) and Fred Casey (FNSKSER) with no issue. If it looks like there is support needed, we will add one, from turbo flange to the trans mount.

We would like to get money over the next two-three weeks so we can start working on it on the weekend of the 6th. That gives Cody more time to jig it up and test fit.

Well, I am looking into getting them coated to help cut under hood temps. There are some nice coatings that bling. I wouldn't polish it though, doesn't really make sense functionally. That can be taken care of though, through latenightcustom.com!
