I just fit them on my car ! Thanks for the fast and serious shipping !
First : the upper bolt of the front suspension, the strut turns when you unscrew it ! really a sh*t to remove ! I combined a 8 and 17 wrench to unscrew it...
They do not require a spring compressor to install them on stock B13 KYB.
On the road:
It really change the car, especially when you used to ride with stock ones.
The car turns better, certainly because the drop increase the camber and of course less rolling due to higher spring rate.
I try them on a really bumpy road, don't know if I hit the bumstops...
Except the fact that in some bump the car rebounds due to my old stock struts, I've not noticed weird movements.
The only really strange thing is when they are installed on the car,all the upper coils are in contact (the coils that are closer between them) , this means the only damping area is the lower area of the coil spring (where the coils are more spaced)...So why ? This deserve an explaination !
Then to finish, I've a strange noise on the back, it seems like a bolt is not correctly tightened, but i have verified 2 times all the tightening torques... strange !
Maybe it comes from another thing ! I will do my investigation on it !
thanks
The tight coils that are touching on the top are called dead coils. They were designed to help the springs maintain contact with the upper spring perch even when the suspension is at full travel. There was some information about dead coils posted up in the first round GB thread if you want to go back and check. Did you use a rubber insulator on the bottom spring coils when you installed the springs? That could be what the noise is from if you didn't. Some people seem to get a slight clunk and some people don't.

B14 guys:
The guys over at Road Magnet are trying to find the specs for an old set of B14 springs they had made a couple years back. This is why I haven't been looking for a test car. If they can find the specifications, they can just modify the old design to fit our specifications. They said give them to Wednesday to see if they can find what they are looking for, and then if they aren't able to, then I am going to start hunting down a test car. They seemed pretty confident though that they will find it.
I am trying to get this done as fast as possible, and If they can just modify an existing design, that will save us a whole lot of time. I am going to be collecting payment soon too so we can get things going. However, I will not know what the cost is going to be per set untill they get back to me. Just hang tight everyone

Awesome. Maybe with this much interest in the past 9 months, they may decide to make these a regular part they offer in the catalog (B13 and B14).
Hope we hear something soon, but don't want to rush the finished product.
Rob, is there a technical name for the "Rubber insulator" you referred to in a previous post? I'm trying to get a complete parts list together for when I do up my suspension. I know it's a little off topic, but relevant. I'm going with KYB-AGX's shocks. Has anybody used the shock mounts from KYB with these shocks? Since Motivational isn't in the Nissan game anymore, it's hard to find a mount worth a damn. Also, going with Koni bump stops on the dampers. Any feedback for parts that you guys would advise to use (on a B14) with these springs would be appreciated.
this is probably a noob question or been asked before but do you need a spring compressor if these are going on AGX's? i only ask because i was unsure if there was a difference in length between the GR2's and the AGX's... come on b13 guys lets get some more in on these

weather or not you need them for any application... they aren't that expensive if you need them

ok for the dead coils, I will make a search on the forum.
Yes I've put a water hose in both front and rear, i've it cut before fitting it on the first and the last coil at the bottom and the top of the 4 coils spring.
Don't know where the noise comes from..
I'm having a track day on march 18th, i'll coment my impression on the track, remembering that I always run them with my old stock struts
is anyone running these on a b13 using the stock struts?
A couple people are out there on the first run springs on stock struts. The 2nd run should be slightly better on stock struts since it is less of a drop, but I wouldn't recommend doing it forever.

yea, thats what i was thinking..... i may end up going that route temporarily. lemme check the funds, i might be in for a set for b13
Alright guys, I have news regarding the B14 springs.
Right now it looks like I am going to need to borrow a car for test fitting. If anyone out there in the MD area can spare a B14 for a discount on a set of springs, let me know.
The price for the B14 springs will be $225 plus shipping per set. I can start collecting money now, and once I have 10 paid orders and a test car, we are all set to produce these babies. I am going to be posting up prices shipped a little later tonight so keep an eye out on this thread.
B13: Lets go guys, only need 8 more paid to place the order.
