if all of you are thinking bout busting out the welder to install bolt tubes, or weld in a nut........why not just weld the brace in at the area of concern seems kinda pointless to take the time to weld in bolt tubes when you could get a stronger fit if you just weld it in.

Got my braces in the mail today. The look good. They wont be getting installed for a very long time, but when they do I will be putting bolts through everywhere bolts can be fitted, and then weld all 3 mounting points, and weld the bolts into it too. I figure that way is going to be the strongest way to mount the pieces. I like how you have the round piece to feed the antenna through the brace, I never thought about that before until I got the braces and I was like..."what is that?".

I got my fender braces, I was impressed by the quality of your workmanship. The other pictures you posted don't do the braces justice. You really should post some pics of both fender braces side by side on a benchtop so people can see some of the details like the antenna tube and how smoothly welded the pieces are. I'll bet more members would jump on this. Does anyone know if these fit an NX?

I will be putting mine on an NX, but not for several months. The NX is in storage and I wont be working on it at all until my surgeries are done.

Does anyone know if the antenna is located the same place on the NX? I assume it bolts to the frame behind the fender skin, which should be the same on all B13s, but I've never had my fender off to see.

I took door hinges of a NX a few weeks ago. IIRC the ant. is the same.

I have 3 questions for you sir:

1. Did you install these on an NX?

2. If so, did the antenna fit?

3. Were you able to remove the fenders without removing the front end?

Thanks!

yes the antenna did fit with a little adjustments and i did take the fenders off without removing the front bumper but you will have too pound in a couple of areas on the inside of the fender not the fender itself but the frame just a little
too get the fender brace too line up just little stuff here and their but overall i am happy. O yeah you would be better off just MIG welding the braces on if you have access to a MIG it makes things so much easier...
