Come on guys hustle up!- Seibon Quality? OEM fitment? what more can we ask for our B13s! Awesome deal too! Thank you soooooo much for making this possible to us!
Still on the fence about this. Would love a trunk and hood, but I think I'll play it safe as I don't what tax returns will bring me . Hopefully there will be some for sale in the future... Thanks for doing this!

The brand new Hood and Trunk are finally here for me to send to Seibon to make the molds. It was a struggle to find the correct trunk because Nissan had discontinued production on our trunk lids for the SE-R. After going back and forth a few times, it turns out the only available trunk still in productioin is for the XE model. Overall fitment is exactly the same as seen in the photos below. Problem is, the holes are missing for the trunk lights in the center and holes will need to be drilled from them to secure to.
We compared this to one of our shop cars to find the differences. The car we compared the new one to is a 93 SE-R. See pics below.
So here is what I'm proposing...just wanted to get your feedback on this before I send them off.
the used trunk we have is in excellent shape with no dents whatsoever. I'm thinking the right thing to do is send out or used trunk to make the mold off of. This will have all the necessary holes for all of our vehicles. Potential problem...for those that plan to go wingless will not be able to because there will be holes for the wing. The brand new trunk does not have the wing holes...but then again, it doesn't have the holes for the lights either.
So asking for your feedback...which would you all rather see me send for the mold.
-- Used SE-R trunk with all holes -- in perfect shape
-- Brand new XE trunk without holes.
I myself am getting a carbon fiber hood- (and this just my 2 cents so everybodys opinion and situation might be different)- i say go with the Brand new XE trunk without holes- reason being- its somewhat of a clean slate- its easier to work with something that isnt there than to fill up holes because you have no choice, people can have the option of making holes if they chose to have the wing, and dremel holes to fit the SE-R inner tails as well. AND if they chose not to have SE-R inner tail lights, no holes will be there so no worries. I just think its easier to start with a clean slate than to have holes everywhere- the lesser of the 2 evils(again its just my opinon)

Alright so just a heads up, SERpriz is purshasing a trunk for me because I really didn't know really where anything was on the forum. So just to clarify that. So personally I'm with Sentra GTR-1 on this one. I'd rather have the brand new one sent in for the mold just because its easier to make holes then to fix/patch holes. : )
i dont want spoiler holes but that xe trunk looks alot diff.
the taillight filler from an SE-R doesnt look like it will easily bolt up to an XE.
just by looking at the pics.
i say if you could use the SE-R trunk as a mold but have seibon not mold holes for spoiler.
if somebody could fill the holes on that used trunk then that would be a perfect mold.
^^^ I can definately have the holes filled here before I send out to Seibon. That way they have a clean SE-R trunk with the holes filled to make a proper mold from. We would have a clean trunk, no holes for wing, but includes the holes for the lights.
Is everyone ok with this? Let me know what you all think. I'd like to get this done tomorrow so we can get the trunk and hood out to Seibon asap to begin production

I'm ok with this although I wouldn't complain about spoiler holes.... I guess I will just have to drill them myself.
Yeah. I think it would be easiest for everyone to have to drill their own holes for the spoiler vs drilling holes for the tail lights. Keep your thoughts coming in! I'd like to get these out to Seibon tomorrow!

Used trunk, fill the holes for the spoiler for wingless use. It's easy to make a paper template to locate those holes if I needed to, much easier than cutting the light holes.
The light holes are non-trivial and I see some other questions with the XE trunk fitment. Given how SE-R trunks like to leak water around almost everything, I'd feel a lot more comfortable if we used an SE-R trunk and shave the wing holes, thanks for asking for all our input.

Scott I personally like this idea the best. I could go either way based on what other people need, I'm not the only one here by any means Skimming the responses I don't see anyone saying no I can't use it with this approach.
But if this makes sense for most people, and everyone can work with it, great!
Thanks again for the work you're putting in, time ain't free and I really appreciate that, believe me!

Jimmi we can use a template, get exactly the best drill bit/attachment, I've drilled trunks for wings and never done it off. All the measurements are published in the body repair, too....
Trunk looks better with no spoiler. Inner tails FTW. No spoiler FTW.

Yeah i lucked out when i got my carbon fiber trunk- i had the SE-R inner tail lights already pre set- but no trunk wing holes so it worked out perfectly but if i had to do it again- i would go the same route- inner SE-R tail light holes- no trunk wing holes- its easier to template and drill new wing holes than it is to patch up existing ones-Quick question- and maybe it was answered at the beginning-will there be windshield washer nozzle holes for the carbon fiber hoods? Either way Im happy. Just wanted to know for sure- I Just want to say thank you sooooo much for making this possible for us B13ners! All the time, and effort, and professionalism is soooo appreciated and respected!
