Okay I have had several people ask me about mandrel bent downpipes for around $200 shipped. Well here they are. These were all prototyped on a B13 with an SR20DET and made by VRS. If you are interested in this, want in on the buy, or want more information please don't hesitate to ask.
Prices are as follows :
$205 shipped for aluminum
$255 shipped for stainless steel
Here are pics. The car shown that this particular downpipe is on is a '94 SE-R owned by NoClassic. The power increase was quite significant over the 2.5" downpipe he had on previously. He can attest to this :
Guys, this is a great deal. Just from my seat of the pants dyno this DP made a good bit more power than my 2.5 crush bent pipe that cost almost the same. The fitment is great and all welds are very clean. BUY THIS DOWN PIPE.
He shoots, he scores! Once again, Miguel turns the Sentra Specialty Exhaust market into his Personal Bitch! I wish I had a turbo just so that I could have one of these fine pipes installed. Damn. Now if he only had B14 and P10 pipe assortments like he has for B15s and B13s, he could rule the world.

This downpipe will fit fine on a B14 with a T28. Miguel does not, however, have a cat-back exhaust for B14s that I'm aware of. Call him and tell him you want a cat-back, too!.

Yes .. I accept paypal (you will have to pay the 3% charge). I'm gathering buyers right now, and shipping time will depend on whether they have been made or not. I will be on here frequently keeping everyone updated.

Nice product. I wish I could get one. From the pics, looks like it hangs down just a little bit too low for my taste. I need a DP that hugs the upper oil pan more, and the bend can't be lower than the cross-member.
I have a similar-shaped 2.5" DP w/ a nice-sized dent, so I know that this DP might do the same thing.
Damn me and my shortened strut body suspension. Otherwise I wouldn't have this problem.

The answer to that question may be that Miguel's system's level of perfection. See how the elbow flares down to meet the flange? That's the best way to make a T25 or T28 go into a downpipe, as the outlet is barely over 2.5", the bolts are difficult to get to, and you want to open up the diameter as quickly as possible after that. You could do the same thing with 2.5" pipe through the bend, but that would impede flow.
The only way to make the downpipe have more ground clearance would be to eliminate this bell, which can't be easily done and keep the flow characteristics of the pipe. You could mate a 3" pipe direclty to the turbine/wastegate outlet, but that would be turbulent because of the size differences mentioned above. The only other option would be to use a smaller-radius bends in the 3" pipe, but I'm not sure that's possible (it already appears to be a 3" radius, which IIRC is the smallest you can do with 3" exhaust tubing).
Clearance is one of the issues that was discussed, but again this 3" dp is geared towards the performance crowd. The car I personally tested it on was dropped 2" so it did come close to the ground..I figure you guys w/ stiffer suspension and less of a drop wont have that many problems.
This is a quality downpipe. I have seen several other makes and this one is by far the best, and only about $20 more.
