Kevin--

I PM'd you back. I'm hitting FedEx today and see if I can nail down a shipping rate for you. As for the alarm unit.... they're $75 retail from Technosquare. Unless we get 10 of those ordered....we pay retail on them.

I updated the commit list, too.

A clarification email about the CMX units, from Danny at Technosquare:

********************************
Greg,
_
I had a few calls yesterday and this morning regarding the displays on the CMX-100N2._ I was mis-informed on the information and gave you the wrong information as well._
_
Here is what I have found out._ On the Japanese Techtom website it has the CMX-100N2 listed as displaying
_
SPd Vehicle speed (km/h)
RPn Engine rpm (rpm)
IGt Ignition timing (deg) (*)
UtP Engine water temperature (DEGC)
ItP Inhalation air temperature (DEGC) (*)
Afr Air flow voltage (V) (*)
BAt Battery voltage (V)
Now, if you look at AFM, Ignition, and Intake Temperature there are asterisk marks at the end._ During testing on Japanese vehicle those 3 items were not display on ALL test vehicle._ However, during our testing here in the US (on a 2003 350Z) the unit displayed all 7 items._ So not all 7 functions will display on all cars._ I'm sure it will work in the US models, but I can not guarantee that_it will show all items listed.__I will do a test on a 95 240sx today and let you know_the results._ Until then, please pass this information to your list members.
_
Oh one more thing, OBDII CMX-100H2 (for Honda) will NOT work for Nissan OBDII._ There are 16 pins in the OBDII connector._ 3 of them_are a fixed standard for OBDII and the rest are left up to the manufactures decision._ Techtom decided to go with the manufactures pinout instead of the standard OBDII._ It has a faster transfer/receive rate than the normal OBDII pinout._ With that being said, Honda and Nissan uses different pin locations as well as speed transfer for their manufactures diagnostic connectors and will not be interchangeable.
_
_
Danny.

sorry i have one more question before i call it a night this unit displays speed in MPH also for sure right ,anyone who has actually used please let me know that is primarily why i want it , i have the jtw ecu which removes my speed limiter and my speedo only shows up to 110mph and i have had it well over than i would just like to know what is going on, and also i think its great to be able to monitor the engine vitals. you se-r guys have it nice with your 140+mph speedometers and your lsd's . maybe i will get luck and find a mint one to buy

Zack, you're in if you want to be.

Go back to page 1 of this thread, and you'll see all the pertinent info on the GB that you need. Including the PayPal address to send payment to.

The MDM and CMX both read in MPH, yes. I have had both in my SE-R in the last 12 months.

-GP-

P.S.-- The readings in the email from Danny are for the CMX -100N2, the OBD2 version. Just wanted to make that clear. The CMX-100N doesn't read all those parameters.

So is this a done deal on the MDM-100? If so, when can we expect to receive them?

thanks feels so good to be wanted greg i was wondering if you could post some pictures of the unit so i can have an idea what it looks like better in the car as far as visability and other stuff. by the way your car is FAST for a little thing, my friend has a s14 with s13 sr20det and the best he has ran is 13.4 (no VLSD) but your car is quick, i think i am going to get one. another friend of mine was looking for one but we couldn find one so he got an se with the 1.6 which is lively. anyway i will send the payment tomorrow all i want is the MDM 100N. thanks

I plugged my MDM-100 into a 97 Quest, and it says "Communication Error !!!" then it says unplug power. Strange. Maybe it MDM-100 only likes cars and refuse to have anything to do with vans.....

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know that I've sent my money to Greg via Paypal for an MDM-100N. Hopefully, this will put us at or over the 10 person minimum.

Greg, I sent you a personal email as well as a note with my transaction.

Thanks for setting this up.

Cheers,

Jason
