golden eagle vacuum manifold

who would be interested in a groupbuy for this vacuum manifold/distribution block? its purpose? to reduce the vacuum hose clutter under the hood. It has one inlet and up to 6 outlets. without this, you would either have to tap the intake manifold or tee off other vacuum lines which creates a mess.

heres a situation where us SR20 guys may find this product useful.
- inlet from the brake booster
- 1 outlet going to the brake booster
- 2 outlets going to the boost controller/wastegate
- 1 outlet going to the boost gauge
- 1 outlet to the BOV
- 1 outlet going to the fuel pressure regulator

the pics:

golden eagle is probably the highest quality manufacturer of import parts in the states rivaling most of the japan products. the first time i seen their products, it blew me away. currently they produce parts for hondas and are designing various products for SR20's such as fuel rails and sheetmetal intake manifolds. Other fuel rails and intake manifolds made for our SR20's dont even compare

example of golden eagle fuel rail:

i already talked to golden eagle and i am only gauging interest in this product. price for the vacuum manifolds will be approx. in the $50 shipped range +/- a few bucks. I will definately keep you guys updated in the new products.

anywhere you want but i think the most convenient place is the firewallby the wiper motor. get a cheap bracket from a local hardware store and your set.

from what I read it seems to be a generic product. One site said you have to drill the holes yourself. is this true? Other than that it really seems they need to make two brackets for us mount it somehwere. Correct if I am wrong

the holes are tapped but you must drill a small hole to make it functional. not everybody has usues for all 6 lines. basically its a generic product meaning it can be used on any vehicle requiring a vacuum distribution block. however it is definately not generic as in a cheap low grade product. Think of it this way, its basically like a fuel rail. people pay $125 for a FTF fuel rail and all its made of is a piece of extruded aluminum with holes in it. have you ever seen the quality of those fuel rails? golden eagle truely makes high quality pieces. this item and the fuel rail they are developing are made from billet aluminum, not extruded aluminum.

Hey Egg have you gotten enough positive responses. I posted right after you kicked this idea off and I am still interested. Let me know where this all stands! Also, what is the tap size on those ports? I will most likely use a barb adapter and have barb fittings on all those ports to go with my silicone vacuum hose.

what are we waiting for? It seems like a universal piece Brent, thats what I was getting at. What exactly needs to be custom made specific to our cars?
