must be nice to be able to have a job and afford all this crud..

here i am with my 5th gear down..

and you guys are all getting 2k gearsets..

ah.. the life you guys must live..

i got an idea.. can someone give me their 5th..

so at least i can cruise at highways speeds without having to worry.. hehe..

Dude, the difference between 4th and 5th isn't that much. I drove from Georgia to Michigan and back and had no problems at all on the highway. I could just pull harder, lol! don't worry about 5th gear. If you are worried, buy a used 95 tranny for $350 or $400 and swap them.

If you're really broke, just flip 5th gear over. Once you open up the tranny, you'll notice that only the bottom half of the teeth are worn, and the other half of the gear can be used. You might get some grind and accelerated wear on the other parts, but you do what you gotta do.

Parts cost: $0
Labor cost: $0
Look on the girls face everytime you grind in to fifth: priceless
