I spoke with Mike at Motivational Engineering today (5/17/04). He said that they are out of stock on the B14 rear mounts for non-coilover set-ups and they don't have plans to make more. However, if there are at least 10 people who want them he will have another batch made. With the Hyperco B14 springs group buy I figure there should be a the demand. However, it's hard to negotiate a price when demand has been very low and we B14 owners don't have any other options. So the price will be the standard $125. Once there is enough interest, payments will be made directly to Motivational Engineering via PayPal and a deposit will be required up front. The timeframe is 3 weeks from the day the order is given to produce more, so let's get on this.

Jay
I'm in! I had planned on ordering this and had no idea he was out of stock!
I'm in for sure.
How in am I?
I'll buy 2 if that's what it takes to make the minimum order.
Looks like we have at least 5 now. Jay why don't you call Mike up and ask him if just 5 will make the deal since its so slow. Not only that you can tell him that I plan on buying my Koni's from him. I think he has the best price on those.
Anyone else on the list for this considering Koni's? Speak up and maybe if we by those from him he will make this happen with only 5. (I already bought the Koni bumpstops from him last week.) I am trying to give Mike all of my business. Aren't these pieces just CNC'd from a bar of stock?
I'll ask him on Tuesday, but I highly doubt he will go for it. Mike hesitated quite a bit before saying he would need 10 orders to sell them at $125. Also, Mike gave me the impression that he doesn't make the parts himself, rather he has someone else make them to his specs. And if you anything about manufacturing, there is no way he could keep the same price if there is only 5 of us. But, I'll still ask. It never hurts.

Ok well try and if he says no to the same price FIRST, then ask how much more. I'd rather have these than nothing, even if they cost more.
We have to have 10 people. I cannot do it because they are machined from steel and is a lot of work for the machine shop. They are also powder coated and have bushings, washers, and bolts in the kit. I have to order 40 to even have them made and then I get to sit on them until they are sold.

Understood Mike, thanks for the quick response. I have already posted a link to this thread on the Hyperco deal thread, but maybe I should bump it again. I seem to remember someone posting it on the main SE-R mailing list. I may try there again. Also someone needs to post it on the SoCal and Texas lists as many members there are not members of the main list and don't see it.
It looks like we have 9 now.....if we don't get a 10th in a day or so I will keep my word and but 2 sets. I'm sure I won't get "stuck". I've solved my internet difficulties and am all signed up with Pay Pal....so I'm ready to go.
Thomas....you mention buying Konis.....I could use a recommendation for a 95 200SX SE with the Eibach Pro's (lowers 1.4" front and back).....this is my first project and I want to make sure I do it right. Coil overs may be a future thing, but now I just want the Eibachs with the right struts/shocks.
Anybody have any recommendations.
do these do anything as far as the ride height of the rear end...i know you get like an extra inch of travel but does it raise the car? sorry if that seemed like a stupid question guys...hehehe
