Hey guys, is anyone having problems with the shifter coming loose? My shifter is starting to rattle and sink down.

Re: ShortShifter GB, Courtesy, B&M long.

i just installed it today.. throws are considerably shorter.. okay WAY shorter, only problem i got is that i cant take off that damn shift knob.. my boot cant fit over it and i got this long trucker thing sticking out lol, it does rattle but i was thinking of sticking grease where the pivot ball is at and i think that will take care of that.. i might just cut where the shifter it and put my old one back on but i do love it already

It's a nice product but I did have some beef.
1. The install was not as easy as I had hoped. Getting that large snap ring on was difficult at best. All my snap ring pliers were either too big or too small. Next the ball wouldn't fit from the top down through my linkage so I had to dissemble the stick from its base. Then from under the car push the stick through again and reassemble.

2. no big deal but the pivoting joint seems a bit loose. My recommendation is to grease the pivot ball with some heavy lithium grease or something thick that will hold.

Other than that it's a great shifter.
My shifter moves a little when you pull up on it, probably 1/8" or so then snaps back down. Does anyone else have this happening? I'm thinking it's because of the slack in the ball joint area. I haven't tried greasing it yet.

Yep, mine does that too. Not sure what to try next. It's really getting annoying. I'll take a closer look at it soon, probably next month while I'm doing the engine swap.
