I have a line on either 3 or 4, I will find out for sure tomorrow.
The only way to get these for a good price is to do a small group buy.
The price is $1200 +shipping each. I will find out the actual number
tomorrow, and I should be getting pictures as well. Payment will be either
USPS money order or paypal (not from a credit card).
I *should* have pictures to show you tomorrow. Yes, these are the
LSD 5-speed manuals that grace many an SR20 powered vehicle from
'91-'97. This is a very limited private stock I stumbled upon.
They have all the stock Nissan plastic plugs, they come with the
switches, and do not come with the speed sender, manual or electronic.
I'm asking for 3 or 4 participants who want a brand new transaxle.
Dealer retail on these is $2800. A ludicrously good price on one is $2000.
Shipping cost worst case is around $60. These will ship UPS/FedEx ground
insured for full dealer retail cost.

Reason: Add shipping expected cost.
For a brand new transaxle with 0 miles it's quite the screamer of a deal.
As sr20deboston said last night when I was talking to him on the
phone about it, 'What a perfect platform to cryo/shotpeen? Thing
would probably last forever on my disco potato car ...'.
I couldn't agree more. Bottom line, it's a screamin' deal. Almost
sounds too good to be true, but I'm going to make sure via the
large axle seal and see if there's any wear on the gears. You can
absolutely tell in 30 seconds or less, even without cracking the case.
IF there turns out to be *any* wear, and I'm getting screwed on these,
I'll turn around and do a chargeback on my credit card so fast it'll make
these guy's head spin. By the same token, if a week goes by and
they show up and end up being used, everyone will get their MO/paypal
refunded within 1 week. I'm not going to use the money from whoever
participates until I'm absolutely sure that they are good.
So, it's either 2 weeks, and you have a great transaxle, or 2 weeks, and
you get your money back, it's not a situation you can lose on.
sweet, weld those suckers, treat the gears and you have a strong tranny - for awhlie.

With my luck, I'd buy one and shortly thereafter an inexpensive adapter plate to fit the Spec-V 6-speed transmission to our SR20 will become available.

The last one is still available, but due to no immediate response, I've listed on
ebay. I have reserved the right to end it early for a forum buyer, but the price
has gone up approximately $30 (listing fees).
All three will be shipped to me from the left coast on Monday, truck freight
is 1-2 weeks, originally I thought it was going to be UPS, but it'll just take
a wee bit longer. I will be forwarding info to Brad and Matt as soon as they
arrive (Matt doesn't want his until I powdercoat the case.)
The last one's still available, these are New (old stock) originally manufactured
for a '93 G20T, hence why it's an LSD tranny. They come with new switches,
it appears from the pictures, which are of the actual transaxles being sold, that
they have the clutch cable bracket, the TO bearing, and are basically complete
assemblies sans speedo sender.

If these are G20T trannies, then wouldn't there be a problem getting axles to fit?
Nope, it's the LSD tranny. There is only _ONE_ RS5F32V,
the close ratio 5 speed with an LSD. Come to think of it,
it *may* have a slightly taller 5th gear, but I always thought
that was only with the non-LSD version. Now I'm scratching
my head though.

All G20 transmissions have the same gearing, whether they have LSD or not. (I've got the FSM for P10 and B13.) The top three gears on the G20/G20t are taller than on the SE-R, but the G20t transmission will fit into a Sentra just fine and use the Sentra axles.

Now I have a stupid question.
Will the guts of a non-LSD transaxle fit into an LSD transaxle if you
wanted to swap them in due to disintegrating 3rd gear? How about
swapping 5th from an RS5F32A to an RS5F32V?
